Description
For those unaware, my first fanfiction was a Ben 10/Monster High harem story that turned out much better than I thought it would (I'm going back over to filter and censor out some of the more inappropriate and simply underrated bits). The basic premise that Ben is mysteriously dumped (quite literally) into the Monster High universe and has to find a way home, all while some sinister force back form his own universe tries to thwart him at every turn. The only issue is that Ben has ended up in New Salem, a total literally divided by one half that is made entirely up of monster-hating normies (humans) and the other half comprised of monsters that just want to be left alone and greatly fear the humans; basically, the monsters are the victims here and half the stuff that the normies claim are not even true. Ben however, stuck between both sides being a human and possessing the ability to transform into millions of extraterrestrial species that bare resemblance to quite few monsters, has to chose one in this silent war without succumbing to the dark forces that predate on him and losing the ghouls that he slowly comes to love (is a harem fanfiction, just a reminder).

The sequel is an Ever After High story, taking all the ghouls and Ben from the previous story. Much like the first, Ben is mysteriously dropped into the world of Ever After High and with the school divided over the destiny conflict, a fight that claims whether or not the offspring of famous fairy tales should follow their legacy, good or bad, it's just about ready to be torn in half and reduced to rubble. As if that wasn't bad enough, Ben is separated from his ghouls and ends up catching the eye of more than a few princesses and maidens, all with the Headmaster breathing down his neck and the ever present feeling that something is off. As if that weren't bad enough, it seems that despite not even being of the world of Ever After, Ben has a very important destiny that involves everyone he could ever know and care about that will decide the fate of Ever After forever.

Thankfully, Ben isn't alone in his endeavors. At the end of We Are Monsters, he gifted each of his ghouls with a copy of the Omnitrix (after much convincing to Azmuth) with a limit of two transformations that they can chose from that will steadily expand to be nearly as big as Ben's. For the moment however, the ghouls are getting use to their new found power, learning how to be true heroines and Plumbers, all while trying to keep up with their school duties at Monster High and the latest senses of fashion.

This here is Djinni "Whisp" Grant, who has some rather complicated history before she even met Ben. For those that don't keep tabs on the Monster High movies and continuity, Whisp was originally a shadow belonging to a real Genie of the Lamp, Gigi Grant, who was brought to life through the wish of a Finder (aka someone who found the lamp) when it was realized that Gigi was lonely after being trapped in a lamp since she was born. Whisp eventually became jealous when she realized that Gigi had all the power and was the one that got to leave the lamp, even if it was to serve those who had found their home; despite this, Whisp began plotting against her and tried to manipulate Finders into wishing all of the lamp's power to her so that she would become the new Genie of the Lamp and then - in stereotypical villain fashion - take over the world. Through a series of events that are too long to go into right now now - either watch the movie or find a more condensed summary - Gigi was granted freedom of the lamp and Whisp happily took her place.

Nowadays however, both genies - whom are technically sisters despite sharing no biological relation to one another - are free of their lamp duties and are happily apart of Ben Tennyson's harem. Whisp serves as the ultimate wildcard of the group and can generally be found causing all sorts of light mischief and pulling visual gags that only a genie could pull off whenever she's not cuddling with her boyfriend and/or possibly Nefera de Nile - it's unknown if Whisp is bisexual or if she's just having fun. Either way, she's not saying anything and most likely won't say anything.

Being a genie, Whisp has "phenomenal cosmic power" at her disposal and can do a great deal of things, practically having omnipotence at her fingertips. These powers are greatly diminished however, as she is relieved of her lamp duties and doesn't require as much as she would if she were fulfilling the demands of a Finder; this still gives her a great deal of power for her to command though. Despite this, there are a multitude of ways to make these powers - everything from immortality and invulnerability to shape-shifting and limited object summoning - null and void and render her practically helpless, the most common of which consists of trapping her in another genie lamp or your average jar.

Fun Fact: Whisp was originally supposed to receive Ditto as her first transformation, but I scrapped this in favor of having an even balance of aliens across all four series of Ben 10; doing this would have given the ghouls too many aliens from the original series. That doesn't mean Sonic Doom is any less humorous than everyone's favorite Splixson - which was the original reason why I considered giving Whisp a Splixson transformation in the first place - and it gives her a little more power to protect herself as well whenever her boyfriend can't come to the rescue in time and her genie powers are acting up for whatever reason.

The female Echo Echo designs were heavily inspired by 's awesome piece of a Gwen 10 Cover which, if you haven't seen, I highly suggest you do. Seriously, I would love to see this as a series instead of the Ben 10 reboot (thus far, it's not as good as it could be).
