This looks so crappy on ~CCGoddess 's monitor that she actually assumed it was her monitor and not just me sucking at photoshop... because my monitor is a lot darker than hers. That's why I don't expect you guys to think this is any good, unless you play with your settings a little, or mosey over here and check it out on my computer. :B But for all I know your settings are similar to mine and I'm just rambling for nothing.If it only looks good to me, and awful to everyone else, I'll put it in scraps. So tell me, 'cause I don't want crap in my gallery.

Well, I showed ~CCGoddess a screenshot as I was doing it, and she seemed kind of underwhelmed. 8D;; She's usually the tactfully honest type, so I wondered if it was sub-standard work.
Oh, you can CG without a tablet! At least my friends say you can... there are loads of people who just use their mouse, but I'm sure it must take a lot longer. My tablet is a Packard Bell, and it was $40. I can't tell what size it is (but it's small). I don't think it's available for purchase anymore. Really, I don't think an expensive tablet is necessary, as long as it has pressure sensitivity. It'd be awful to spend hundreds on a wacom, and then realise you don't really like using a tablet at all.

yeah, i know you can do it without a tablet but from all the tutorials i've so far seen, the person is using a tablet. a tablet does seem easier though and my hands get cramped really easily from using a mouse so i've been thinking about getting a tablet and trying to do digital art^^

Hahahah, thanks a lot! xD Yeah, I took stills, then used them as reference for the painting. :3 I kept making adjustments 'til I had to look at the filenames to tell which was which.

AND OMB SANKYUU. If it wasn't good I'd be so pissed off with myself 'cause I like... opened photoshop each day and did like two strands of hair, and that was it for that day. I was worried I'd forgotten how to CG or something. And it was taking forever and I didn't even like it and I wanted to give up and do something else so that even if the something else sucked too at least it'd be more interesting to do. >.<
