I have some dA buddies whose birthday's are either coming up or have passed, so I should dedicate this to one of them, but I'm not sure if anyone likes Rentrer en Soi. o.o;I wanted to draw this because it's so different from the stuff I usually do. I draw controlled, detailed, technical portraits. But this time it's rough, and organic. And it only took two hours, because I figured the looser I let my hand go, the more natural the result would be. :3 Did it work?
I highly recommend downloading this song (for sample purposes only, blah blah). I'll put the whole album in my journal later sometime.

Oh, thank you! 8D; They are awesome! Their self-titled album is one of very few I can listen to on loop without skipping any tracks. And of course Satsuki's voice is incredible. They should be a lot more popular than they are.

hmm i just think the hair and stuff hanging on the left should either be more distinct or more realistic. this would make a good abstract to me, so im figuring if the sudden change in the middle of the drawing bothers me. >.<

I like the looseness, it makes it seem...emotional, I guess would be a good word for it. (I'm sorry if that doesn't make any sense...it's midnight here, and I really should get to bed soon.) I'd say that if natural and organic was what you were going for, then it worked.
I've heard a couple of Rentrer en Soi's songs before, but not Protoplasm. I like it, I can't stop listening to it.
