Edit: Fixed it! I rendered it a bit more and made the shadows on Clark smoother.

A chilling breeze swept through the trees as Clark, Rin and Castor entered the Creeping Forest. While most of the snow storm has remained within the village, a light frost had gathered on some trees, and many had begun to shed their leaves.

Clark stepped forward, raising his eyes to meet with the others' looks.
"We need to split up, it'll be dark soon."

Castor nodded, pointing at Rin.
"You're the only one of us that can swim, so I believe that it should be your job to fetch the seaweed. The lake's probably freezing anyway, it won't be a problem for you".

"Sure, sounds good to me", said Rin. "That leaves the spores and flowers for you two".

Clark pointed his tail in the direction of Sapling Village. "I guess since I'm the fastest, I should make a quick run to Sapling; I heard the Shroomish there have a ton of those spores".

Castor smiled, folding his arms and glancing towards a small clearing up ahead. "I suppose that I'll get the flowers then. They should be right over there."

"Well guys, it's a plan! We'll meet back at the entrance to Creeping Forest in two hours", suggested Rin, pulling her scarf tighter.

"Good idea", Clark was about to turn and sprint away, but then stopped. A small, fluttering feeling came over him, and a brought the smallest trace of a smile to his lips.

"Hey Rin and Castor", began Clark. The two Pokemon turned back to face him, both with puzzled looks on their faces.

Clark smiled wider now, the feeling now warming him from the inside out, re-invigorating him with the chance to help his sick teammate, the feeling of doing what was right, and the possibility of making new friends. What Clark had now was hope.

"Thank you for everything", he said, and with a quick turn, he dashed off into the dark brush.
