The tear streaked face looking up, with stray hairs gives the impression that something has just happened. This is a face of desperation, the moments after mortal terror, when all one could possibly do is beg with their eyes. It isn't always easy to make everything come together this way, and you and this model have done beautifully. Stunning composition.

i don't see why everyone loves this picture. her eyes are dead and emotionless. nothing in this picture says "sad" to me - it all screams "faked". the picture seems very lame and boring to me. i just don't get what anyone sees in it.

the instant i saw this down at the bottom of my messages page, i felt a twist of sadness and horror. i've read a lot of abuse/rape stories, and seen movies liek that, and this picture just reminded me, with a sharp slap, of that dark world. haunting and morbidly beautiful, it caught my attention and held it.

I really like this striking piece. My interpretation, or input, is this: Not to call women weak, but sometimes, like all of us, they need help. They get in these situations and need outside help. However, they leave these hints for us, but sometimes we don't catch them. So, it comes down to them (this picture) getting to this point before people GET it. Before they see past the illusions. Like a shot from the third eye, piercing the traps of fear and desperation. VERY well done.

This is very well done. green-sky had a good point though, and I thought this as well when I saw it: it's more like it should be called 'Defiance' or something. She reminds me something of Katniss from Hunger Games. The same toughass/fragile way about her. Whoever you model is, give her props for being awesome! Props to you as well. (:
