I swear there is NO editing here! (well, I won't lie, I cut the image to make it square).
I was preparing myself for a photoshoot, and after I painted one eye and put one of the contact lenses, I was like, 'woah, makes a difference'. Had never really realized until now. Pale perfect skin, blue feline eye, big lips. And then freckled face, brown eye, no eyelashes.
Bam, cleaned my right side and took a picture. Sweet.
Just look at what make-up can do.

I need to know how you did this! Every time I put on makeup it's easy to tell I have makeup on my face. :/ It looks caked even if I didn't put much on.

Really thought provoking. Took me a few viewings to really feel comfortable with it. The difference is jarring but intriguing. I keep scrolling back up to look and then scrolling down to try and put words to the impression. This is why I like art. It hits a nerve that isn't easily put into words. The camera may not lie but it can become an accomplice in the lies we choose to tell. Thank you for that bit of cognitive dissonance.

Hah, reminds me of this girl on Youtube who put on makeup and called her video something like "How to look like a slut." It was funny.
Anyway, you have a pretty good face to start with, a lot of girls aren't so lucky. Looking just at the left side of the photo, the only thing lacking is your eyelashes, which appear to be naturally very short and don't draw attention to your eye enough--I'll bet you normally wear mascara every day, right? And maybe even fake lashes? It looks like the contact lens makes your iris look bigger too, which helps draw attention to the eye.
But you've got great bone structure, nice eyebrows, nice lips, a cute nose, and a good chin. I don't know if your ears are really tucked strangely against your head like that or if it's just an effect of the camera lens, but I'm guessing it's the lens. Also, I'm not a guy who has anything against freckles, though I know some people don't like them.

You arguably look better with the make-up. But the side without also holds a beauty that can stand alone. My feeling is make-up can enhance or distort.

How I interpreted this: You can be attractive, but make-up will still...and almost -always-...make you look even better. Damn make-up. Always enforcing its rules on gender roles and making people judge others a certain way compared to how they would if they had no make-up on to begin with...

Some corpses have many souls inside, they take turns to show themselves. No need for makeup, or photoshop in here.
Your face is gorgeous, every single detail of it, but can't compare to your natural eyes... theres something hidding there, and its so big and marvelous, it will never be seen... No need to cover them with another color, some volcanos are covered by the sea, but the sea wont be able to extingish them.

I try to appear completely myself for people in general. But a some eyeliner and blush is fun to do every so often
