I swear there is NO editing here! (well, I won't lie, I cut the image to make it square).
I was preparing myself for a photoshoot, and after I painted one eye and put one of the contact lenses, I was like, 'woah, makes a difference'. Had never really realized until now. Pale perfect skin, blue feline eye, big lips. And then freckled face, brown eye, no eyelashes.
Bam, cleaned my right side and took a picture. Sweet.
Just look at what make-up can do.

Well, on my first look I didn't now what made me take a second look. On the one hand, as MOGNECIO said, you're beautifull. But on the other side this photo is disconcerting.
Maybe like a Novel of H.P. Lovecraft.
On the first look there is already some bewildering, something, that doesnt fit really. But you can't really grip it. So you look again. And see the details. And then it becomes horror, but the typ of horror, that plays with you're fantasy. Because on the one hand it's familiar, something you see all day. But in a new, maybe even shocking way.
And if something plays with my fantasy, makes me thing and ask questions like "why do we even weare makeup?" or "how much illusion is in our life, that we see, but don't grip?", well, than it's art for me and thanks to the artist.

I think it's cool that you can look however you want to look, for any occasion. Natural is gorgeous but sometimes there's something sweet about putting your warpaint on. xx

I love that the focus is spot on the eyes and that the rest of the face blurs into the background quite smoothly. The absolute duality of the subject matter is stunning and provocative. It reminds me of my favorite quote of all time:
"One must become two, for there is nothing between one"

Make up does do wonders. I've actually done something similar to this for one of my photography assignments a few months back. So I was kind of shocked to see the differences as well~

There is nothing wrong with make up. I'm told constantly that it's bad and fake. Well I'm covered in deeps scars for eczema and i have very dark circle around my eyes from insomnia. So i need to wear makeup so feel good about myself. shouldnt we just do what makes us fee better?

No, I feel awful without at least some mascara and a little concealer. People stare and ask about my scars so I like to cover them because it's painful and humiliating. The minute I put on makeup I feel great and pretty

Won't it be better to work on not minding what other people think? That way you can feel great and pretty both with and without makeup, and it'd give you extra time to sleep in in the morning xD

In a perfect world, yes, that would be an excellent idea. But I have spent most of my life being bullied for my skin disorder and I just don't feel comfortable enough with myself to let people see me without makeup. I get panic attacks when people start asking me questions about what's wrong with my face and I've been known to burst into tears when someone had made a rude remark on the state of my skin, so really, make up is just a comfort blanket for me, its makes me feel safe and happy.

This is actually kind of my take on makeup for myself. 9 out of 10 times I'll go without makeup because I'm comfortable enough with how I look to skip around without it. But then there are those random occasions where I think, "You know, today I'm going to kick it up a notch" and get to work. I always get reactions from people at work when it happens. It's amazing what a little foundation, eyeliner, and eye/lip color can do...
