I swear there is NO editing here! (well, I won't lie, I cut the image to make it square).
I was preparing myself for a photoshoot, and after I painted one eye and put one of the contact lenses, I was like, 'woah, makes a difference'. Had never really realized until now. Pale perfect skin, blue feline eye, big lips. And then freckled face, brown eye, no eyelashes.
Bam, cleaned my right side and took a picture. Sweet.
Just look at what make-up can do.
Me gusta.

Yeah... When i'm getting advice from a make up girl in a store, she always does one half of my face first, so i can see the difference. It's great fun
But i don't like girl who puts so much makeup on, every single day, that you get surprised of how they look, when they aren't wearing any. I do know some girls like that. Also what's the fun of going out in the evening, if you're already wearing more than enough every day?

AWESOME! Love that you show how big the difference can be! Most people, including you, are more beautiful without make-up

Nice shot... But it's sad that you have to make yourself up so much in order to accept yourself.

If I didn't accept myself the way I am, I wouldn't have shown a picture where you can see myself with no make up, don't you think so?

You're making an unfair assumption about this person. How do you know she can't accept herself? Also, if she can't accept what she looks like, why would she post her clean face for everyone to see?

It's not always in order to accept yourself.
I'm pretty sure in most cases (okay maybe not most, but a lot) to express yourself, y'know.

You'd tart up to express yourself ? I'd say it is a psychological issue. People want to look like a different person because they can't accept who they are..

I put on eyeshadow in rainbows around my eyes as self-expression... And it's fun to look in the mirror and feel as if you could be in a glamour magazine. Makeup is a great form of self-expression, as is putting on a different face to see how people react and how it makes you feel.

People put on certain clothes to express who they are, people dye their hair to expess who they are, people put on certain makeup to express who they are.
Yes, that's how it works with certain people, not everyone, some people really do wear makeup to cover up what they think are imperfections, and WILL NOT go out without any cover up, but that's not always the case.
Makeup's just like clothes. Are you going to stop wearing clothes because you think it's a way to hide yourself, because you can't accept what you look like without clothes on, naked?
And to get back to the "can't accept who you are", some people dress up/change the way they look the way they want to, the way they really are on the inside.

If you'd read the comments you would know that this particular makeup job was for a photoshoot, and guessing by her other works, no doubt for something specific, hence the change in eye color and so forth.

I'm gonna keep this picture in my favorites for when I feel like I'm having an ugly day. Then it can remind me that it's just because everyone around me paints themselves a new face every morning and I don't.

Like so many others, I am intrigued by “damn make-up.” It deserves the long list of comments it has garnered. When I was involved in portrait photography, I always promoted a natural look, asking my subjects not to wear make-up, or at least to wear no more than an amount sufficient to make them feel comfortable. My goal was to capture the true uniqueness of each person rather than have it obscured behind cosmetics as it is in so may of our photos, especially of women.
As for this particular photo, I find it a bit disturbing -- almost ghoulish -- with its lack of symmetry. But getting beyond that overall impression, the model is clearly attractive and I commend her for the brave eye-catching work which has us talking about made-up versus natural looks. I would love to see more of the latter.

Some people need to wear makeup to feel beautiful. My mother tells me Im beautiful without makeup but i have deep scars on my face from years of severe eczema so i never feel 'beautiful' until iv covered them up. So its ok to say what you said but please remember there are people suffering in their own bodies and need to wear make up to be beautiful.
