Instead of mindcontrol specifically, should be something like subliminal. Still amazing though.

I love it all, the typographic composition of the word freedom opposite all the other words.
One little whinge about semantics. "bad addiction" may as well just read addiction as I can't think of any addiction as good. There are better and worse habits but anything considered an 'addiction' is always considered bad. I'm addicted to picking up tiny faults as I felt compelled to whinge about the error. That is an unhealthy addiction.
+fav. I love the concept and composition.

Well, we all know running away from responsibility never worked... It always catches up with you... we're all responsible for what happens on this Earth, and there comes a time when we all need to face reality. You might want to compliment this artwork with a sequel, a woman confronting all these things, dealing with them one by one, getting things done... that's the lesson extraordinary women like mother theresa or anjelina jolie have learned... that true empowerment, comes not from taking flight, hiding on a pleasure beach somewhere... but in grabbing the bull by the horns, and wrestling our demons! That to me, is heroic beauty.

Depiction of the nude in political art attracts attention to issues. It's widely used by organizations like PeTA for instance. But in Europe, where the nude is too often abused to sell just about anything, it's lost its punch. I think the way you've presented it here, both as a testament to the power of a naked woman to unleash a reaction in people, strenght in the face of vulnerability... but also as an escape from women being objectified by such obsession linking sexual desire with a strong need for justice. Is she flying away from responsibility, or empowered by the realization these issues are part of who she is, challenges to tackle, not escape? I'm curious.

the initial intention was make her flying away from all those things... But you know, when you leave an image to audience, people make their own conclusions....there's part of process and this is good..

I REALLY LIKE YOUR PICTURES, ESPECIALLY 'SYCHEDELIC' - I AM CURIOUS TO ASK, HOW MUCH WOULD YOU CHARGE TO DO AN ALBUM COVER. I AM HALF OF AN AMATEUR ELCTRONIC GROUP CALLED '
ORNO TWINS' AND WAS WONDERING IF YOU DID A PICTURE THAT WAS BASICALLY TWO OF THE PSYCHEDELIC GIRLS ON A SWIRLY/TRIPPY BACKGROUND WITH WORDING SIMILAR TO THIS PICTURE ABOVE (FREEDOM).
ANSWER BACK PLEASE...

Did you use raster or halftone pattern on the image?
Because it seems like that (on my screen at least..)
The design's perfect!

Question...
how come "Repression" is the only word that's over her...?
just wondering, like maybe you had a meaning to that or something?

CrisVector In reply to FeelGoodTower [2007-03-26 02:39:25 +0000 UTC]
Well.. I don't have any special reason. But thinking about, you can read it as all pressure over us that can make us live in repression..

I always hated pictures with accumulations of phrases like "war" and "love" in it,
but this is the first one I like. Because it doesnt seem to me as if you just wanted to make it look more like "art" by doing so
