Description
Remember. Evoloons do not have genes, DNA, or even genetalia. "Breeding" evoloons is just making a new evoloon inspired by an already existing design(s).THIS GUIDE IS FOR BREEDING EVOLOONS OWNED BY THE SAME ARTIST. BREEDING WITH ANOTHER ARTIST'S EVOLOON HAS EXTRA RULES AND A SEPERATE GUIDE WILL BE MADE JUST FOR THAT.
Do's = Don'ts =
Breeding 1: NormalxRainbow(red)
Rainbow Evoloons can pass down any shade of their own colors. If your rainbow evoloon is green it cannot pass down the color blue.
Offspring 1 - has the event red color with the coat pattern of the normal evoloon.
Offspring 2 - You do not have to use the event if you do not want to. Any natural mammal color is allowed.
Offspring 3 - Coat colors must all be the same hue.
Breeding 2: NormalxSafari(tiger)
Safari evoloons can only pass down their own markings. If your evoloon has tiger stripes it cannot pass down giraffe spots.
In addition. If you pass down the stripes or spots you also have to pass down the rules that go with them.
(Only 1 body color allowed. Stripes/spots can only be a darker or lighter shade of the body color.)
Offspring 1 - has the event tiger stripes with 1 body color of the normal evoloon
Offspring 2 - Event stripes were not used so it can have up to 3 body colors. These colors are the 2 parent's colors merged together.
Offspring 3 - Cannot have more than one body color if it has stripes/spots. Stripes/spots cannot be a different hue from the coat color.
Breeding 3: Rainbow(red)xSafari(tiger)
Event Upgrades can be mixed togather as long as ALL of the event rules are mixed together too.
Offspring 1 - Has the shade of red from the rainboww event and the tiger stripes of the safari event
Offspring 2 - Uses neither of the events but includes design aspects from both parents
Offspring 3 - Rainbow evoloon cannot pass down a different color. Stripes do not allow for more than one body color.
That's it. If you have ANY questions just ask!

Wait, so bred safaris dont have to follow the specific color rules if they are bred with a different type?

Safari evoloons must follow the colors for a safari evoloon, unless they are bred with a rainbow and then they can be the color of the rainbow evoloon. This guide is outdated and needs replacing, sorry for the confusion.

If they're the same type, then the rules for creating them will be the normal ones for that type.

I don't own a rainbow loon, but I was actually really curious, would the upgrade that lets you change colors allow you to add, say, purple, to a blue rainbow evoloon? :0

The two month change in color upgrade allows you to change ANY evoloon into ANY 3 colors

If I wanted to breed a normal evoloon with a 'second gen' evoloon (rainbow x zebra), what would the offspring look like?
Could it be the same colour as the rainbow x zebra evoloon and have zebra markings but have more than one main colour like the normal evoloon?

crocopossum In reply to WingedSheWolf [2016-12-27 19:11:41 +0000 UTC]
safari evoloons ALWAYS start with just one body color

Ah. So if I wanted to breed this evoloon wingedshewolf.deviantart.com/a… with, say, Timothy wingedshewolf.deviantart.com/a… the offspring would have to be just be a solid purple colour with zebra stripes, unless I didn't include the stripes and then they could be more than one body colour?

Quick question about colors- Can you breed pink babies from a red evoloon? I'm guessing it'd be fine since pink is a lighter shade of red- But I'd just like to double-check!

yes sort of!
you can use this same tutorial for breeding rainbow evoloons
Just instead of choosing a natural mammal color, eyedrop the rainbow parent that your breeding

Is it possible to breed a loon with another species? If so, do these rules apply, or can you do whatever?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
crocopossum In reply to DragonLucario [2016-10-29 15:42:13 +0000 UTC]
If you breed an evoloon with another species, the offspring will not be a legit evoloon.
So you do not have to follow any rules and the offspring will not participate in the group

If I breed two rainbow loons can I use a blend of both their colors?
(I own both rainbow loons)
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
crocopossum In reply to WildAnimeKittyKat [2016-10-02 01:41:20 +0000 UTC]
nope. you can only use lighter and darker shades of the one of the parents.
unless the two colors mixed together would result in a natural color, like red and green would make brown.
but at that point you could just make a normal evoloon

WildAnimeKittyKat In reply to crocopossum [2016-10-02 01:49:48 +0000 UTC]
Okay. If made three/four could one be one parents color and the other be the other parents color. Then the other two I'll think of something

Ok so quick question, I would like to breed my two loons (safari & normal).
I'm a little unclear on the offspring 2, - Event stripes were not used so it can have up to 3 body colors. These colors are the 2 parent's colors merged together. Do I smudge them with Grey and light brown?
👍: 0 ⏩: 1
crocopossum In reply to Crimson-Wolf2323 [2016-09-30 15:24:41 +0000 UTC]
if your wanting to mix the colors of the parents pick a color that is in between the grey and the light brown.
But you don't have to do that if you don't want. These are just examples.
