I'm glad if you find this useful, but remember it was just my young self's point of view!
Tips from 23 y/o me would be to make adopts if you like it, if you enjoy it then this is the most important ♥ Selling is hard, very hard, but if you have it in you you gotta keep on making adopts, keep on trying to sell, try different things, etc. But never forget to have fun ♥

Palettes websites :
- design-seeds.com/index.php/P16 It has various palettes updated daily
- www.colourlovers.com/ It has various colors palettes and patterns
- www.degraeve.com/color-palette… Just put the URL of an image and you'll have its palette !
This is to help you, I sometimes use them, but I now I mostly choose the colors myself x3
The most important is to practice and to love making adopts <3 There is no magic words to create great adopts and all, mine aren't that great and I know it, I'm not saying I'm a great adopt maker no no not at all, but I like to make them, and I'm so happy to see that some of you love them ! It makes me want to make more and more ♥ I love you guys <3

Hello! That's not a stupid question at all, don't worry!
Overall, many people would forbid maker-made adopts, either because of the rules of the creator of said maker, or among adopt groups. Some would allow them, of course! But there are many maker creators that don't allow people to sell designs using their maker
I do like messing with these makers too, what I do usually is make some and take inspiration from them to create some adopts! ;v; That way I can improve some detals, remove and add stuffs, to make it unique.
Of course makers would be quicker to make adopts, but I would highly recommend you either draw them yourself, or use a base that allows adopts to be made with them!

When you have payed the points how do you get the art? Do you download the art and cut your adoptable out?

Yeah you just crop out your adopt or the owner sometimes send the separate file!

This helps a lot! Also, since you obviously know a good deal about this kind of stuff, do you know if you're allowed to use characters from Doll Divine to sell as adoptables? If you're not sure, that's fine.

I think it depends on the rules of the game on Doll Divine, but unless they explicitly state no adoptables I'm pretty sure you can make them.

i know this is a old comment, but just in case you still wanted to know,
you visit someone's profile and at the top right below your notification bar, you will see a button that says "give"
if you press it you will get different options, click "give points" and type in how many you want to give
some people will have donation pools or certain widgets to pay at, but this way to give points is ALWAYS available

Selling adopts may take a lot of time sometimes, you'll have to be patient ;v;
As the time goes you'll improve your designs and they'll sell faster; just keep on making them and they'll sell one day !

The price depends on a lot of things-
Just price them the amount of money/points you think they worth depending on the time you took to make them and all ;w; <3
Oh and for that, once the customer paid their adopt it is technically theirs, they can take the picture and use if as references for example; you can also crop the adopt from the batch and send it to them but that's all : as long as they paid, it's theirs >w<
