Description Ayyyy!! Better two months late than...eventually, right? I hope you find this helpful in some way. This was supposed to be made and uploaded in April, but I kind of took a month or two break from drawing.

I plan to upload May's tutorial soon as well.

Hope you like it!

I will do a tutorial every month, posting them on the 25th. Why the 25? No idea. It's a good full number

Next Tutorial: June 25th
Last Tutorial:

Let me know if you have any questions. I will try to answer.

How do you get those sharp edges when erasing the shaded bits? I've tried doing that myself but it's never turns out right.

I think she uses a drawing tablet, which you can change a setting to apply pen pressure, the lighter you press, the thinner the lines, and hard you press, the thick the lines.

I love Gryphwolf too!

This tutorial was very helpful. I've been trying to figure out a bit more on the cell shading piece lately, and this helped confirm a few of the things on what I should and shouldn't do for it.

Question- how would you make different line thickness in traditional art?

darkheart20000 In reply to LeafBlossom123 [2017-06-23 01:18:58 +0000 UTC]

This would be for the outlining, but using a thin brush pen works well. If you don't have a brush pen, doing a thin outline then, using a thin-tipped pen, going back over it and making the center of the lines thicker could also work too.

Rachelzzzzzzzzzzz In reply to LeafBlossom123 [2017-06-22 19:37:56 +0000 UTC]

just sort of take your pencil and make the lines thicker by following the lines over and over again...

Dear god, I never would have been able to produce my last three pieces without the help of the handy undo-button on my drawing tablet. Every line is drawn five times before I'm satisfied with how it looks. XD
