Decided to finish another RWBY inspired weapon I drafted out weeks ago. Might change the name of it later but I'm a sucker for corny names, because it takes a sharp shooter to wield the Sharp Shooter. XDAll joking aside I really like how this turned out despite the simple collapsible design. Whoever I draw up that uses Sharp Shooter will also get another gun/blade/dagger/trench knife thing for those hairy close up encounters. Although I'm starting to question the usefulness of a sniper rifle that can turn into a sword since a sniper is super long range and a sword is close range. I might end up tweaking Sharp Shooter to be more Assault/Battle Rifle rather than Sniper, just for practicality sake.

Hey could I use this for an OC of mine? But changing the name and the design a bit, as well of changing the color. This looks like the perfect primary weapon for my RWBY OC since he is supposed to use a Sniper-Sword hybrid and this fits his style. I plan on using the sniper and sword mode design but leaving out the last one when it is sheath for if I are to have my character use it, the blade would have a sheath which could lock on allowing my character to use the sheath as a handle kinda. I will provide you most of the credit for this and even refer you to several people that I know.

In comparison I like this one the most. Two grips are effective for a sword this big.

I've been trying to work out a character of my own based on a friend of mine. I always felt like he would be the type to use a gun that could fire any kind of ammo and could function as a sniper or assault rifle as well, but he was asking for a gunblade like a certain one from the Final Fantasy series that folds between the two modes. My idea for his gunblade would be more like my plans for a gunblade version of the Master Sword, where it still folds, but in a different manner. However, I really REALLY like this idea you have, and would like to suggest my idea for making it able to use any kind of ammo. Other than that, I think I'm going to ask the question that's really on my mind: can I use this?

Sure, I'm not going to use this design for any OC/team so you can go ahead and use it and whatever to is(i.e. recolor, redesign, etc.), just remember to credit me if you don't make any significant alterations.

The only alteration I can think of is having the gun be capable of firing nearly any kind of ammo, for sniping, pistol fire, magnum, assault, etc. The friend I am basing the character on really likes games like Halo and Mass Effect and stuff, but he also likes games like League of Legends and is a big fan of massive swords, and I finally convinced him to decide on a weapon for his character. He asked for a gunblade, and since my original idea was that his character would be more of the bada**-with-guns type, I found this and immediately loved it.

Pretty cool although I see alot of areas of improvement (realism me kicks in)

Well if i were to add some of my own ideas into this
-magazine could be replaced to a revolver cylinder to save up space and to probably use a bigger caliber
-probably best if the scope isn't built in since that would sacrifice compactability, (tactical rail maybe?)
-the stock and handle could be combined (something like what you could see in some shotguns and lever-action rifles)
-barrel would seem to cause problems if the blade doesn't cut fast enough so big problem there(Unless the barrel is also part of the blade and the bottom, instead of square was a triangle and could be angled maybe)

Yeah, when I was making Sharp Shooter I didn't really think that hard about if it would ACTUALLY work. "Looks good on paper" so they say. I think that I was just so excited that I was done with Finals that I didn't see all the flaws in the design. ^.^; Oh well, back to the drawing board. Thanks for the advice.

how dose it shoot in its compact form its buging me but over all i think that its pretty cool

The Compact form is for easy transportation not for fighting, unless of course you grab the stock like a handle and try singing it. In hindsight there are a lot of things wrong with this weapon so I'm going to revise it later.
