The sword form doesn't fire bullets.  Hope that helps!

Okay, thank you for getting back, I was little confused because of how it looked, like with the trigger moved to the blade form handle.

how do you come up with this stuff? It's amazing!

First I think of what function I want the weapon to fulfill.  Then I sketch out a few prototypes each varying in design slightly while performing the desired function.
After sifting through what I like/don't like I start roughing out the multiple stages of the weapon (blade, gun, carry, etc.) while making appropriate adjustments.
I pick one of the forms (usually the one with the most pieces visible) and use the pen tool to ink it out and color it.  Next is a series of layers and folders in Photoshop
as I slide and hide certain layers of the weapon to make the second stage of the weapon and then the third.

Most of the time I go through two or three revisions before I settle on a weapon I'm happy with, and even then I may scrap that design with a more "functional" one.
Although in the end I try to make the weapon as visually appealing and awesome as possible.

You're really good at that! Being a big fan of rwby myself, I came up with an OC of mine and I can't seem to come up with a weapon for him that fits or functions the way I want it to. I mean I'm going for a Chemical Engineering Degree so some form of engineering goes into the design of the gun/weapon so I thought I might be able to come up with something, but I lack the creating the appeal and artistic talent when it comes to drawing it out. Hearing your process helps me out a lot! I'll have to try it. So how do you work the gun in with the weapon? Do you hold them side by side and begin moving things around until it looks like you can get one to transform into the other? as well as how to store the gun?

Pretty much.  With Sharp Shooter I started with the gun form and began thinking where I could hide the blades and how they could unfold.
With Honor Guard and Break-Blade I started with the sword form and thought where I could fit in the gun parts.

What I do is have one sketch of the weapon that is more gun than blade and then another that is more blade than gun and slowly get them to
line up nicely.  I find that it helps to have several layers with each part of the weapon (individual blades, stocks, scopes, barrels, etc.) on a separate
layer when moving the pieces around.  Makes the process a little easier to visualize than just eyeballing a bunch of sketches and hoping everything
lines up.

Hope my advice helps!  ^.^
