for the spring equinox / eclipse / supermoonA poem written by TheSeventhStorm
What would the living realm be like in our absence? Since the moment of our creation, no soul has been able to solve this riddle. Perhaps it is fair to say there is no answer.
It is unfortunate that there are those who fear shadow. In the absence of gripping darkness, all would by blinded by my twin's searing light. By the same token, if she were to vanish, my unrelenting essence would consume the world and all would suffocate.
We are vastly more important than most mortals believe, and we thank those who realize the gravity of our roles. Without the balance that we provide, chaos is destined to rule.
She brings the warm day with a few simple words, blessing the land with a heavenly glow. I bring the cool night with a sweep of my wing, shrouding the land in a relaxing veil.
We are two separate beings eternally tethered. We are perfect together, always and forever.

I like the stylization, and the positive/negative juxtaposition, without being a direct mirror. Also, the 'technical' diagrams.
This has a retro feel to my eye, and reminds me a bit of Charley Harper's work.

Wowzerino! I'm loving the contrast and aggressiveness of those two colors. Most people say they are conflicting, but I think they actually compliment each other. This is just too eyecatching of a piece to not mirror with words!
