The story is actually very well made and cool...

as a warcraft-lore Nerd, I'll just ask how did he manage to find N'zoth that easely? should it be more logicall to show him in a ritualistic circle, failling to bring her back and then, a voice came to promissing him power.....
or maybe we can assume that what you try to say but didn't show it for the sake of having a quick pacing here to quickly go back to the present.....

The influence of N'Zoth touched Deserous long before the culling of Stratholme, and the Old God used these events to seal his fate.

Rewinding back to classic Cru the Dwarf, when the party traveled into the Deadmines and Deserous encountered the fortune-telling gnoll (whose true identity is not yet revealed) we learned on page 34 that Deserous' troubled past and his study of the arcane as a warlock attracted the attention of "evil forces": "whispers from the shadows and unseen hands guiding him toward forbidden magics" that fed his hate & resentment toward the world.

It was then that he met Katharine and his heart, which had grown cold and calloused, began to soften as he found a partner who had suffered much like himself in her. The dark forces guiding Desmond had split his psyche in two: one half cynical and bitter, the other half loving and empathetic. This is when N'Zoth set the events in motion that would lead Desmond and Katharine to Stratholme just before the plague struck, and the Old God allowed him to escape the city with Katharine in exchange for his servitude to act as a powerful servant to bring about a currently unknown end.

Could it be that N'Zoth seeks to escape his imprisonment within the depths of Azeroth, or could the resentful Elder God be plotting an even more devious end when his two servants Deathwing and Deserous meet? Possibly the end of not only the Titan's creations on Azeroth but the destruction of all worlds connected by the Twisting Nether - bringing about a chain reaction devastating enough to destroy all of creation?

lore, lol

Back in the day I studied the hell out of various Warcraft lore and managed to weave it all together to form the "Echoes Through Time" story arc. Even after returning to the comic after four years hiatus I'm still finding bits of the story that fall into place which I had setup in the beginning but forgot about. I'm still adding to it and making changes, but the skeleton I had created to support everything that would happen throughout has remained intact and connects WoW lore with my own story. Katharine was originally intended to be dead but I decided including her in the plot could make for some entertaining couples play between her and Deserous.
