That's it. It ends with him continuing his journey.You might be under the impression that that's the last you'll see of Phantos' characters in Ned's comics, but never say never. :'D
Anyway, no tone again, but I am GLAD THAT I AM DONE. UGH MY HEAD HURTS SO BADLY.

It's a surprising anticlimactic end. It also brings about many different questions about society and insanity's effect on it. It's clear from the way He talks, acts, and goes around that he suffers from a swath of complex mental issues, the main ones being amnesia, clear from the fuzzy flash-backs; short-term memory loss, since he forgets completely the massacre he caused; and possibly an attachment problem, mainly from his attachment to Lucy and then Marina, likely being replacements for his missing and probably dead daughter. In the end, these traits make him a perfect candidate to topple society because he sparks pity in peoples' hearts by not meaning to do it, being aggressively emotional from it, and seeming docile when he's not in that state. It's because of Human nature's merciful side that he's able to live and also how humans will likely die around him. It's a truly well written piece and applaud you for it.

If you paid attention to the page where he left her, there's a shadowy figure in the background, but that's not to be totally noticed anyway XD
And when he gets back, he's saying that signs indicate the "New Tribe" had been around the area. The implication is that Marina was attacked by zombies when he was off killing Charlie.

that was both a creepy and disturbing round, and yet, kinda awesome. Really gives us a glimpse into Ned, and that glimpse leaves us even more confused than before.

An excellent job here Crispy. The story is gripping, the characters are memorable (not for Ned, though, maybe that's best), and the art is great. Tone or no, pencil or not, it was wonderful.

No seriously. There is only one murder in this arc. And that was not a random killing. And in the audition, those weren't random killings either.
I understand Ned's character might be difficult for some people to understand, but it's specifically mapped out, and I get annoyed when people suggest he's no-holds-barred homicidal. Christ.

I know, I never thought he was, but it seems a lot of people think so. He's kinda complicated as a character so some people may not get things at first. I once spent about half an hour explaining something that can be said in one sentence.

I was actually thinking the last few pages(story-wise) were a little "meh" compared to the rest. But what he says in the second-to-last panel was a pretty clever way to cap off the round, I must admit.
