Ya know, that actually makes sense now. Zombies getting smarter...so they drop him off and wait for bigger prey to come along. Thats scary smart, considering they're dead. The Zombie Centuar...holy freak..did not see that coming.

Ladies and gentlemen, with the arrival of a zombie centaur, shit has hit the fan. Commense either running and screaming or zombie-centaur ass-kicking. In other words, THIS IS GOING TO BE AWESOME!

I don't (sorries). Other than your comics, I know incredibly little about DeviantDEAD.

Yeah see? XDD Well, if it'll help you understand, the prompt is zombie mutants. DJVoice announced that the zombies were actually scavenging limbs and different things from dead bodies lying around on the ground. So dis ain't a fucking fantasy novel, it's a legless zombie that scavenged a headless horse.

While the idea is interesting of a hybrid zombie, the biggest question that popped into my mind was this:
....How did the zombie manage to attach itself to the horse, where it'd be able to learn to move and control an entirely new lower half?
I hate to be a party-pooper but.. most zombies aren't that smart.

PFFFFF again, I ask if you read the DJVoice thing? PART of the announcement was that the zombies are getting smarter, and that is actually a point that Ned's going to bring up in THE NEXT PAGE. You're not a party pooper, you just don't know what you're talking about is all XD

I remember the DJVoice part, now that you mentioned it. At the time..I forgot.
You'd be surprised at how much that question kept running circles in my brain all day. Interesting how this..virus (I assume?) made the infected go downhill, then slowly upwards..
Ah, you smarty-pants you! That's how you're doing the zombie mutation theme! ...Wow, I feel dumb.

Have you read Stephen King's Cell? That's an interesting zombie thing--his concept was sort of like... when the people were made into zombies, the way that they described it is that they were put into their "base" stage, which is like... angry killer thingies, and then they evolved at an incredibly fast level after that. It was an interesting way of portraying them.
But yes, the thing about the zombie mutation is that DJVoice actually mentioned that the zombies were mutating--specifically (not that I mentioned this in the comic, but it was in the actual DJVoice announcement) that the zombies were scavenging pieces from other bodies, not only human. So the hybrid wasn't exactly my idea XD But yeah, the intelligence is the main point.

I'm not much of a King fan. But, the 'base' stage somewhat reminds me of '28 Days Later' with their Rage infection.

scavenged a headless horse?? More like a headless zebra! (Aww, that means it wasn't Birdie? Birdie would totally do that.)

Oooh. Thank you for explaining. I did not believe you had crossed into fantasy novel (it just-- that's too random for a semi-reality-based tournament), but it makes the zombie hybrid much more convincing.
