Tahoma8.reg changes almost all GUI fonts for a better oldschool Windows XP feeling without smoothing
Disable anti alaising for fonts in Windows if the Fonts are bold and not as on the screenshot.
(Windows -> adjust performance)
you can also use the small mode by activating "small symbols"
Reinstallation is required after update to Windows 7 SP1

The only thing that I would change is the Start menu, I would rather just have the whole thing the light grey colour without the black... uh... gradient.

The text on my menus are all black, so i can't read them, but in the screenshot they are with white text, what am i doing wrong?

I have a second monitor, and I extend the taskbar using the "Smart Taskbar" feature in UltraMon, which essentially moves the taskbar button for whatever program I'm using on that screen over to that taskbar. The taskbar on the second window still has Aero enabled. In other words, I still get the active highlight that follows the mouse cursor when I scroll over the taskbar buttons.

Upon further investigation, this is an issue with UltraMon itself, as it's generating it's own taskbar.

cryeR, how hard is it to make a version which lacks the bright to dark gradient on the Taskbar, Title Bar etc.? Other then this gradient, it is a perfect dark theme for Windows 7 Aero basic.

replace some png and repack them ? should be a thing of ~30 minutes, then batch all colors u like, maybe ask vipz10 he'll do the job i guess

Thanks, the theme is however just a msstyles file, How do you extract the contents of that? o_O Or at least where are the PNG's it refers to if they are located elsewhere?

replace the C:\Windows\Resources\Themes\Aero\aero.msstyle with your backup, there is also one in the zip \backup\ folder, after that restart and apply the theme you like

I you colored it right you simply have to save it as a .themepack, thats how I did it to fix the colors of the IE9

Actally i'm using windows 7 basic it doesn't support themes so i replaced aero.msstyles with this skin.So i have to modify some of the .msstyles files to change fonts,colour but i don't know which one.

Is it possible to make progress bar look like in chunks(XP) rather than a single stripe(windows 7).i replace 690.png-697.png with small images but after doing this it stop showing any progress bar(copying,moving,capacity bar).
