Orange Kitten really, really bothers me. She's just so not a kitten at all... more like a teddy bear with pointy ears. Not that there's anything wrong with teddy bears, but they aren't kittens. So I took a ton of creative license on this one.I see Orange as being a longer-haired cat breed for some reason (maybe because she's the only animal character with visible whiskers? Makes sense in my head)--I wanted to make her actually look like a cat, but I also didn't want to just make her a modification of Periwinkle since their canon images are so different.
As with my other reference drawings, the shaded one's supposed to be an older version. This was by far the most difficult character for me to work out, but I'm pretty happy with it.

You know what's ironic? I learned from the "Behind the Clues" episode that Blue's original character idea was a orange kitten!

I've always wondered how that would've worked out. "Orange's Clues"??? (Or wasn't the working title "Blue Prints"? That makes even less sense with orange!) Nothing even rhymes with 'orange,' no wonder they changed it.
