I like the blur that emphasizes his pose and darkens the outer edge, however, I would suggest a darker background, something other than white. I find the most emphasized element in most of the Slenderman-related art (both static and dynamic) is the white face, and a darker background would definitely help emphasize it. Perhaps a dark, cool grey to also help bring out the red of the tie.
