After so long, finally found the motivation to work on the Tripod some more. Given him some more important details. Hardest trick yet is to give him lighting. Maybe I'll be able to make that film after all.Enjoy!

The lights was the last bit I wanted to add, just never did... lazy me.
Wanted to insert green lights into the heat-ray, as it was described in the novel. Perhaps green, or just white LED's in the eyes.

You have quite the knack for capturing exactly how I've always imagined the tripods to look like. I love this little mecha's eyes, and the very dextrous arms. I'd love to see this puppet in some glorious stop motion animation!

Thank you very much! Though this deisgn isn't exactly my own, I based it off the slightly comical design by Alvim Correa. Heard that his illustrations of the machines were a favorite of Wells'. Their designs had more character, and were simplistic enough for me to build them out of household bits!
That's the plan! To get the Tripod finished and start animating it. I promise you there will be much dextrous arm swaying
