I've been working on this guy for a while and I have to say that working with fake fur is reaaaaally hard!!!! @.@ I designed him based off of the appearance of a jumping spider, but he turned out rather fluffy for one, I guess he's just a jumping spider with a bad hair day! X3 Regardless though, I love spiders and I love and adore this plush~ <3He's turned out a bit larger than I had planned because of his fluffiness (larger than my cat) but he's still quite a nice cuddling size. His body is 15 inches long with his legs measuring 9 inches long.
My apologies to those that hate spiders! ;~;

Can you make smaller spiders, maybe out of different materials if the fur used here wouldn't be suitable?

Well, it could def be a different sort of effect, you know, but I think it would still look good. Smaller spiders probably couldn't be QUITE so fluffy.

Awwww, I think I know one spider that won't scare anyone, you should look up the Peacock Spider on youtube, they're hilarious and adorable! They DANCE!

While I'm not crazy about spiders, I do like this one! He is fantastic! I believe folkmania makes a similar looking spider puppet. Their puppets look so real! But, they do tend to be pricey.

I found mine at Goodwill. For some weird reason, he has a few cracks in his eyes, thus I named him Scar.

I have no idea where the first owner found it... You may have rare chances in Goodwill, sometimes you might be lucky in toy shops, or check out garage sales and see if anyone has one.

I wouldn't mind making another to sell, though I would have to charge quite a bit since his materials are more expensive and he's time consuming to make.

Luckily the spiders don't get nearly this big in Oregon. o.o; I would have to make sure my cat didn't get stuck in a web if they got THAT big! XD
