So, this would've been posted WAY earlier this week, but I decided to make things more difficult for myself and add some animation to his ref sheet despite not having animated in about a year-
can't complain much though, it was some pretty fun practice!

So, this is Arthur Barb, who I've only had for about a week but love to absolute pieces already <3
He's inspired by the even greater Edward Scissorhands and was beautifully designed by !!

Without giving out too much about him (for future comics) here's some more info about the guy!
(though please keep in mind he's still very much developing and not finalized as a character)

Backstory Summary:
He was basically the victim of morbid scientific curiosity. A couple of scientists wondered if it was possible to make a living, human portable charger just for kicks, and sadly for younger Arthur, he just so happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time. After a couple experiments, tests, and just cramming as many conductors into him as possible (some of which are attached to his bones), this was the end result. And although I don't imagine he's nearly as efficient as your typical phone charger, his eye did practically turn into a flashlight, so that's that. ^^"
After a year or two, Arthur became old news to the scientists and quickly began losing their interest, so now he spends his days in a cage-like room, with little to no interaction with anyone aside from those who occasionally drop by to give him his meals. In the scientists' eyes he's too boring to continue testing on, and far too experimented on to reverse to his original state, leaving him with not purpose and with nothing to do.

Extra Stuff:
-The barbed wire wasn't exactly a necessary instalment for the experiment as much as it was an excuse for a cruel joke to give him his new last name.
-(just in case it's hard to tell) The barbed wire around his arms is integrated into his skin and pokes out a little, which I meant to show by making his skin look irritated around it, but I felt like it would make his design too crowded.
-He refuses to be any less than 10 feet away from someone out of fear that he might somehow hurt them with his wires (he'd probably be more afraid of hurting you than you'd be of getting hurt by him).
-Hurting other people is his only (significant) fear.
-He has absolutely no sense of humor (but will fake a laugh at other people's jokes out of politeness)
-He fidgets a lot because he's constantly being made uncomfortable by the wires around his wrists poking him and so he fidgets to distract himself from it.
-The scratches in his face are mainly due to the wires on his neck.
-He doesn't do anything all day but is always tired.
-Enjoys the company of bugs cause they're a lot harder to hurt with his wires.
-He will be eternally grateful for any and all forms of kindness directed toward him.
-Sometimes he takes things a little too literally.
-He has a really weak immune system (which makes sense considering he stays indoors all day, doesn't move around a lot, and has a bunch of metals and wires in his body)
-He doesn't remember all that well what it was like having a family, (and what he does remember is very different from reality) but you can't miss what you don't remember, I guess.
-Also he can't properly read and write, which really sucks.
