“So I was creating life this morning, when something strange happened. As is often the case, the early beings that saw the act of creation formed a religion around me. However, there was one funny detail that made their version unique: they were just worshipping my hand! You see, when they looked up to the sky I was too large for them to see the whole of my body. Thanks to the vagaries of evolution, none of the beings on the planet had hands similar to mine, so it just never occurred to them that the god they worshipped is just a small part of a larger whole.

As time went on, their devotion to me, or I suppose my hand, got more elaborate. The number five became a holy number. Five-limbed starfish became holy symbols. They created forms of writing based around hand-like symbols, and even holy languages based around making signs with their hands.

I’ve considered popping down to one of their temples to go and clear up the confusion, but I can’t help but be charmed by their creativity. Since I can take on any form I want, I suppose that any form of worshipping me is just as valid as any other. Most goddesses’ true forms tends to drive people mad with lust or blind them instantly, so I think it’s probably for the better to leave the mortals to their own devices.

Hmm… I wonder what would happen if I created life with my tits instead…”
