Ember wasn't sure what to do now that she realized her mistakes.
She knew now that.. she may have been extremely insensitive to her father and Tony. She hadn't gone what they went through, and she couldn't begin to understand. She was just.. different from them... and she never took the time to realize it.
But what could she do now? Its not like she could just pretend she was never disrespectful, act like her glares and shouts never occurred. She'd look insane, with the sudden change of attitude. What was the first step to fixing what she had caused?

She sighed in frustration, continuing to walk along the dirt path towards their home. The burnt grass from that long ago attack around their home finally grew back fully, no longer a reminder of that turbulent time. Now the only memory of her fight for the protection of their home is the scars littering her body.

Wasn't that after she had run Tony off from them too?
A foreign yet familiar ache spread throughout her chest at the realization that she had drove Tony away when he needed protection the most.
This reconciliation... was going to take more work than she previously thought...

The sound of soft steps drew her from her thoughts, looking up to see a familiar figure walking down the path. It was Lee! She felt her spirits lift, not without hesitation. They had argued when she took that spite class and hadn't talked since, with her so busy trying to relieve her anger and understand what she felt away from home. Maybe they could finally talk here, before he headed to town for work! She'll be able to apologize for what she had said, what made her usually soft spoken father shout.
Ember hurried in her steps, trying to look friendly as to show she was in a better mood. That she could talk rationally without it turning to a fight. Lee seemed to spot her as well, pausing in his walk for a moment as he watched her.
Yes, they'll be able to finally speak, she can apologize. They'll make up and she can start her fixing of the problems she caused. Maybe he could tell her how to start gaining forgiveness, from both him and... Tony. Thankfully Brook was still a child and she doesn't think she's hurt him yet.
She just had to talk with Lee.

Ember barely said her father's name when she felt wind rush past her along with dark brown feathers. Paw held in midair, her mind tried to comprehend what happened. Did Lee just.. Ignore her?
No, that isn't like him, he doesn't have the capacity to be that disrespectful to ignore someone. No, if he had a problem with someone what he would do is...

Her heart seemingly fell to her feet at the thought.

Was Lee avoiding her?
No, he couldn't be, he wouldn't avoid his own child. He wouldn't... right?
Even in her most irritant moods, he'd stick right by her side with a gentle smile and soft eyes.
Then again.. all those times, she hadn't angered him to the point of raising his voice. To shaking and pulling at his own hair in an effort to distract himself from the reality in front of him.

The small blanket of guilt she carried turned into a weight on her shoulders, threatening to drag her down.
... Could she even fix this?

It seemed all she was capable of doing was making everything worse, burning down the bonds of those closest to her without a single thought.
Would she ever be forgiven?
