Description
Leandro didn't know how to feel about this sudden change.
He had slowly begun to grow in size, which was good for hunting bigger animals to satisfy his increased hunger, but it required change.
He found it harder to hide from intruders, and those monsters that wandered the wood. His former nest of bushes could no longer hold him, so he had to look for a new place to rest for the night.
Apparently the same was said for the green one.
He was tracking down a scent of an intruder, one he had attacked before he grew. He was going to teach it another lesson, for returning to his territory after the last attack, but Shou was with it when he found them.
It had been a while since he'd seen the green one so.. he approached, if only to see if he was... Fine.
He didn't anticipate the other pulling him close and calling out to the intruder, saying of... keeping him? Having him stay among them?
So Shou also needed a home now, maybe he outgrew his inside that wretched town. Good for him, although Leo was the first to throw away that stupid place. But he wanted him to.. join him?
No, he couldn't, he wouldn't...
...
But.. Shou really was a fool.. He couldn't hunt like Leo could, he didn't know how to handle the dangers of the forest..
...
Leo watched Shou silently, slowly walking from his spot in the clearing towards him.
The biped was curled up on some rags, sleeping soundly since they had settled. Silly gro.. How could he let his guard down so easily out here? He was lucky Leo did not sleep often.
He stepped through the branches holding up another rag as cover, circling behind the green wyngro. He felt a warmth start to slowly spread through him as he observed the other's sleeping form. It made the still cold breeze in the night air just a bit more bearable. Shou, on the other hand, was curled up so tightly as to keep warm, only slight shivers visible. He should've just used the rag on the branches as a blanket..
Leo inched closer, the grass crunching softly under his claws. Shou somehow looked more harmless asleep than he does awake, fur ruffled in strange angles, face pressed against his paw. It was strangely.. endearing. Leo didn't know what to make of it.
He leaned forward, sniffing the other. Shou always threw a fuss when he tried to sniff him, shouting and his face darkening. He was only checking to see how the other was doing and what he probably ran into.
Shou only smelled of earth, some smoke from the fire they had started earlier, perhaps he stood too close to it. A weird.. flowery tinge. A stranger? It was faint, and focused soley on his neck and head. Leo brought up a claw and prodded at the small bruises and hits on his head and ears. Had the stranger caused these? The scent was stale, so it seemed they wouldn't have another problem. Who would injure such a harmless gro like Shou?..
"Hey!"
Leo glanced up to the dull yellow rags set up opposite to Shou's area, the heat surrounding him increasing in temperature.
It was the intruder, shifting from under their rags and staring pointedly at him. He felt his fur raise at the stare, a low growl in response.
While he did not mind accompanying Shou on his search for a new home, this.. stranger, was something he did not want to near them. It had the audacity to trespass twice on his territory, and now it somehow gained the affections of the green gro beside him? Horrible, he couldn't understand why Shou would even consider being near this creature.
Though, if Shou forced his way into Leo's comfort, then its no surprise he managed to befriend that.
"Stay away from him!" The intruder hissed, glancing down at Shou to be sure the other was still asleep. How dare it?
Leo? Stay away from Shou?
He growled in anger, moving his claw over Shou's head, as if to hide him from the eyes of the other.
He had as much right to be near the green one as they did! He wouldn't hurt him, though he couldn't say the same of the intruder.
The heat around his body grew stronger, almost as if he was on fire.
The intruder looked angered, straightening up. "I don't know what you're trying, but I won't let it fool me! You're dangerous and you shouldn't be near him!"
Leo huffed, tail lashing behind him as he glared. He didn't like this intruder.
He hated when strangers stepped into his area, his place. Strangers were worthless, cruel, worse than he ever could be.
He's not stepping away.
leo maybe chill, nav is just a nerd
