It was warm.
He couldn't really make out what anything was, just that it was warm. Dark, too. It was too crowded, wherever he was. He needed out.
It got hotter, it made the space he was in feel much more suffocating, though the heat wasn't discomforting to him. It actually felt nice, he would just rather be able to breathe than feel warm.
He didn't know how long it was but as he kept moving and pushing, a crack of brightness appeared in the dark space he was trapped in. The light caught his attention, despite stinging his eyes when he tried to look at it. He kept pushing forward, escaping, leaving whatever was keeping him from fresh air. Shutting his eyes to make the pain stop, he continued to push and claw until he no longer felt contricted as before, pausing for a moment to regain the energy he used. Once he felt safe enough he slowly opened them, vision blurry as he tried to take in the new world surrounding him. What was all this?
He brought his head up from his leg and looked around at the brown walls surrounding him until he stopped at something that truly caught his eye. The space beyond the big brown walls was a deep mix of red and gold, a singular bright circle in the center of the swirls of vibrancy. It was beautiful, he felt glad that he pushed his way out of what kept him from seeing such a magnificent sight, how could anyone look away?
The warmth the light gave him made him feel refreshed, it made him feel entirely whole.
He was born under the sun.
