Everything felt like crap.
Her family still hadn't come back home, they couldn't have left her here alone right? Lee was nice enough to probably leave a note or something, even if it would sting he would tell her if he didn't want her anymore right?
She sniffled, disgusted at the fact that tears escaped her eyes so easily at the thought of someone abandoning her again. Bringing up a paw to shield her face from nobody, Ember noticed that that the sun had finally set and the house felt emptier. Did Lee not want her this much? To run away with Tony and leave her here with no notice, was the niceness just an act to gain her trust?
Or maybe it was out of fear that you'd attack him.
Ember wiped away some tears, shaking her head. She was being ridiculous, she had to find her family. She... She couldn't have been abandoned, not again.
With shaky balance, she got up and pushed the door open, letting her feet take her anywhere. She just wanted to find them. She had to find them.

After some mindless, tear-filled wandering she noticed the sight of a green wyngro ahead on the path. No, that was Flint. She found him at least. She wasn't alone, she had her friend.
"..F-Flint..!" Ember called out, mentally scolding herself for the obvious break in her words. But she wasn't able to dwell on it as Flint turned to her with a concerned look which made her break down all over again. She vaguely registered her friend rushing towards her as she sat down on the path, sobbing as quietly as she could. It didn't really work.
She felt bad for the concern and confusion circling around Flint but she just couldn't bring herself to stop crying. This really did suck. Ember felt her thoughts piece back together when Flint carefully pulled her into a hug, immediately shoving her face into his soft fur to hide her tears. "I-I'm so-sorry..." She mumbled softly, moving her paws to his mane to try and push her gross tear covered face out of his fur. She ended up moving closer.
Her ears perked at a small cough from Flint, a shaky whisper making her freeze. "..i-it's okay...."
Despite the soar in her heart at the realization that this was the first time Flint had spoken to her since their fight, she couldn't stop the sudden rush of crying that took her.
"T-They're go-gone Flint I-I-hic- I don't k-now wh-where the-they are..!" She sobbed between her words, shutting her eyes to see if maybe that will make her stop bawling like a baby. "Shh, it's alright... who's gone?..." Well at least Flint's whispering calmed her a bit. "Le-Lee and Tony..." A soothing pat to her back. "Al-Alright... it's okay, we'll find them..."
After way too many minutes of hugging, whispering, and tears, Ember remembered somewhere Lee might be. Hopefully. By Chii, she really hoped they were there.
She forced herself to move out of Flint's hug, wiping her face as she glanced around for the general direction of the house. She didn't know what she'd do if they weren't there. "I-I gotta.. ch-check..." She mumbled incoherently, quickly running to the direction of Neo's home.

Ember was glad Flint decided to follow her, despite not knowing where she was actually headed. She needed his calm presence as they approached the surprisingly unsettling home. Seemed like it wasn't only her family going through things right now..
After slowing down, they both noticed faint yelling coming from inside. Flint moved to approach the house warily, in case of danger, but Ember only raced to the door and shoved it open. If Lee was in there the yelling would be scaring him, how dare they yell at her poor father, he's never done anything wrong to anybody!
She stopped once she stepped into the house, vaguely registering Flint stopping behind her and shutting the door. There was no sign of Lee or Tony, just two grey wyngro yelling at each other. Where was Neo and who's Keith?
"Why'd we do that! We shouldn't have yelled at her, she was already feeling guilty!"
"Well she wouldn't have done anything if she continued moping around like a-"
They hadn't noticed them step inside the house, and Ember didn't notice the tears already trailing down her cheeks.
"Where's my dad?"
Both wyngrew turned to stare at her and Flint in shock. "Who?"
