Description
A quick sketch of John Sheppard, the Stargate: Atlantis character.Unsharpened HB pencil on cold-press watercolor paper. Initial sketch done in about an hour, revised for approximately ten minutes the next morning.

It qualifies as a scrap 'cause I did it fast and didn't polish it hardly at all. In retrospect, maybe it came out a little better than I thought, but still, it feels more like a study than a finished piece.

Thanks! I was happy with it because I thought the proportions came out okay, even though I only checked a few relative measurements (like making sure that the distance from nose to ear was about the same as eyes to mouth, etc.) rather than doing any kind of elaborate blocking.
