You turn on the TV with a bowl of cereal in one hand and the remote in the other. "Next up: The Weather Forecast!" You sit at the sofa and tossed the remote to the side as you eat your bowl of cereal while watching TV. "...The snowstorms are coming in as the cold air is heading towards west. Temperatures are dropping and there's going to be a lot of snowfall for the next few weeks. Now, what you're gonna see here..." You ignored what the weatherman said next and looked at the graph behind him, watching the direction of the wind and airflow. You begin to study the graph, guessing when will it hit at your place as you've wished for snow for a very long time. The town that was once colorful turned pure white in a single night, the whole land was covered with innocent snowflakes.

As you imagine how it's like to have a winter wonderland appear before right your eyes, your cellphone interrupted you. You placed your bowl of cereal on the coffee table and answered your cellphone. "Hey!" You said in a friendly manner. "What's up?"

You hear your friend, Nina on the other end of the phone, she sounded very excited. "Hey, did you hear what's on the weather forecast?"

"Yeah, I did. Lots of snow." You said as your lips formed a smile against your face.

"Yes! You don't know how much I wanted it to snow so-"

"-you could escape that Math test we're supposed to have, right?" You interrupted.

You hear your friend chuckle. "You sure know me well, you know how our Math teacher gives us the hardest set of questions in every - single - test!" She said in agony. "I mean, they were so hard to answer!"

You lightly shook your head as you looked at the window. "That's because you didn't study."

"S-Study!? Why wouldn't I study?" Nina started to stammer when she heard you say the word, "Study".

You gave a light sigh and rolled your eyes at your phone. I knew it. Your friend wasn't the kind of person who would study hard for tests, you tried to help her but it never seems to work. You started to lift your legs up, so you could lay your head on one of the armrests on the sofa, putting yourself in a comfortable position. "...Bah! What gives? We won't be going to school for the next few weeks due to this weather." Nina said after she calmed down.

"But that doesn't mean you can avoid it forever." You reply, sarcastically.

"Aww..." Nina slightly wailed.

"Don't 'Aww' me! Blame yourself for that one!" You yelled back.

The two of you continue to talk on the phone as it felt like half an hour had gone by, the topics that the two of you talked about were endless until you noticed that your cereal is getting soggy. You told your friend to continue the conversation later and you laid down your cellphone on the coffee table, lifting back your bowl of cereal again.

A while later after finishing your breakfast, you started to do your daily chores. Your parents went on a business trip and they won't be back after the holidays, so all the house chores is for you to handle. After dusting, sweeping and mopping the floor and rearranging everything (includes decorating the house to give a little holiday feel), it was spotless and sparkly clean. Feeling tired and exhausted, you decided to head upstairs to your room. Your room wasn't really girly as you thought, soft blue walls that suited teak floorboards very well, along with a comfy white bed and matching pillows that reminded you of the winter snow. Plus, rich blue covers with snowflake patterns on it. It fitted with the season that's coming up very soon.

You lie on your bed and stared at the ceiling, you never imagined that a blank white ceiling would be utterly fascinating. While your mind was filled with plans you had to keep yourself occupied for the next few weeks until school's back, you felt your eyelids began to feel heavy and your vision stirred as you drifted off to sleep...
