Description Chapter One: Separate Paths【Jack Frost】

A thick layer of clouds covering that was once a clear blue sky to a nice shade of white and gray. Winds were cold enough to give anyone the chills, but it was the perfect temperature for Jack to create snow. Just the thought of it made him smile brightly upon his face. As he flew across the ocean, he descended and looked at the glassy reflection on it. Suddenly, he sparked an idea from his mischievous mind. Placing his staff on ocean's surface, he caused ice to form on the ocean as he flew, leaving a long frozen trail behind him. He chuckled when he turned his head back to see what he did.

This was freedom. No rules, no responsibilities, it's as good as it sounds. The wind lifted his body and took him wherever he wanted spreading white frost and snow everywhere, the freedom to do whatever he wanted, whenever he wanted, wherever - it was a bliss to Jack.

He suddenly gathered the wind to propel him upwards to the sky through the thickness of the clouds, he shouted with joy as he felt like he can do flips and cartwheels in the air whilst going to one country to another in less than a few minutes. He then somersaulted and free-fell back down to the town that he proclaimed home. It was an exhilarating experience. "SNOW DAY!" He cried as if he wanted everyone to know that, he felt like he conquered the world by leaving snow on every continent. It was like his personal way of leaving marks. He didn't care what the adults feel how he left frost everywhere and made their lives miserable, it was all for his and the childrens' amusement.

He then climbed onto the highest point of the city. Upon seeing what he had done with his frost, he was impressed. "Now that - that was fun." Jack reached out his arm to grab the flagpole and thought about who to pick as his next target and how he'll trick his victim with his winter magic. He saw some kids left school early due to his winter snow, they were excited about the fact that there's going to be no school for the next few weeks.

"Yeah! Snow! Woohoo!" One of the kids shouted.

"Alright! Snow day!" Another one said.

"You're welcome!" Jack said, even though he knew that no one would hear him nor see him. He continued to follow the kids, to see if any of them would believe him.

All the kids gathered at the playground to play, using the snow to create different things. Snowmen, snow angels and even snow castles! Jack smiled to himself. He was impressed at the childrens' creation, now all that's left is...

He gathered a handful of snow from the bottom of his feet...

...formed it into a ball...

...blew onto it making the ball have a luminous blue glow...

...aimed and...gave it a good swing!

Jack had pretty good aim when it comes to throwing snowballs, thus he had no problem hitting a kid in motion. The snowball landed at the back of the kid's head, the frozen snow bit him at first. But then, he suddenly felt a surge of happiness within him. He formed a snowball and threw it at one of his friends. They did the same and soon it became a snowball fight between each other. Upon seeing this, Jack happened to joined in the fight as well. "Free for all!" He shouted.

With a swing of his staff, a pile of snow is formed. "Alright, who needs ammo?"

The kids were too busy having fun with each other, running and dodging, getting hit here and there, one snowball after another which left some snow on their clothes and let it slowly seep into the fabric, making their jackets wet. But, they didn't care.

Jack stood onto a branch of a tree and watched the kids continue their snowball fight. His thoughts were concentrated on something...

"Now to grab their attention..." He formed a snowflake with his hand and blew a little wind behind it. The snowflake floated towards the children. When it captured their gaze, they stopped and dropped their snowballs as they tried to catch it with their woolen mittens. But the snowflake was like it had a mind of its own, it danced and twirled in the air, avoiding the childrens' grasp.

Jack made a little more wind and began the game of chase!

It was then the children began to compete with each other, to see who would catch the snowflake first.

Whirls of their laughter filled the air, they seem to have the best time of their lives. However, it was soon then getting late, the childrens' mother called them to come in and have a cup of hot cocoa.

"Hey!" Jack yelled as flew right in front of them, hoping that they would stop right in their tracks and see him. "Are you guys forgetting someon-" *Whoosh!*

Sadly, a sudden chill coursed down his spine when they walked right through him as he was invisible to them. Feeling frustrated and slightly pained that his plan didn't work, he gathered the wind to lift him up into the air, leaving light snowfall behind.
