Dead Rising 2 is coming out soon, and I'm STILL drawing the Original Dead Rising crew. XD What's wrong with me? I need to draw Chuck Greene! I need to draw Leon Bell!They're the Dead Rising 2 version of Frank and Kent!
Anyways. A Classic.

Y'know. I never realized till now how much darker colored Frank was compared to Kent.
I like how Frank came out. :3 Kent was pretty tough to draw here.

Ahh, a refreshing look for these two! Kant looks already like a madman, it makes you think "Crap, I know I gotta kill this guy, I know I gotta kill this guy." And from what I've seen from the trailers, Isabella might have made the cut for the next game....

That might have been Rebecca Chang. In the trailors I saw, I thought she was Isabella as well, but I think that might have been Rebecca.

No problem, funny thing is that they're not that much diffrent from the upcoming group, only a few diffrences:
Frank and Chuck: Frank isn't a dad, doubt he'll get hitched and seems to not care about other people sadly.
Kent and Leon: Kent is actually more humble than Leon, I mean Leon has his friggin face on the back of a truck! And Leon looks more like a kid than his predesessor.
I hope it is Rebbeca, if Isabella made the cut there would a blinding rage that will destroy /v/

Frank seems like the kind of guy to remain single all his life. Sorry Frank. That...and I can't imagine him with a wife or soul-mate. He's too cool for that.
Chuck I'm not so sure of.
Kent always had been a man-child from the start. but having someone who's even more childish than Kent....that's really something alright. :3
I'm getting excited. I really want to get to know Leon soon! XD

Canonly, Frank isn't with Isabella and seems more liked she just use him to get out herself. Chuck did get married and had a kid (won't question that he had Katey at age 22, but I think we can guess what hapened)But as we see in Case Zero, he lost his wife and now has a zombie timebomb for a child. Could he find love again? Maybe, but doubt it.
One more diffrence between the little runts, Leon was a fan of Chuck when he was in motorcross racing and even now still looks up to him a bit (though he won't admit it >>)while Kent wanted to be the higher power, to be better than his seinor (ehich failed, and followed up by death)

Oh thank god. I was gonna die if Frank did end up with Isabella. D: The bad kind of die. Not the "oh I'm so happy, my heart bursts with joy" kind of die.
It's a game cliche'. make the characters as young as possible, yet believable. Chuck is younger than Frank. Frank is 36, Chuck is 29.
I'll never understand these young parents.
It's complicated between Kent and Leon. The rivalry between Kent and Frank was pretty much sparked when Frank said he was professional too. I guess in Kent's mind, there can only be one professional, or he just doesn't like people using the word like they own it. He (Kent) worked hard to earn that title, while Frank does it not quite as often and considers himself a pro like Kent.
I'm not sure what the deal is with Leon. He use to idolize Chuck (like you said, still might.)But what made him change this point of view isn't reviled yet.

When you compare them to other characters, CHuck and Frank are like old men since usually games from Japan have male characters in their late teens and those over 25 are shown as weak and old.
The two are like brothers from another mother (He,he) they both believe that they are the best at what they do, and as such anyone that claims to be at par or above them is going to feel their PMS'ing wrath.
For all we know, LLeon might still have a picture of Chuck under his bed that he kisses at night. *dirty thoughts*

That's probably what I like best about Frank and Chuck. 
Gotta wonder what would happen if these two actually met. Nothing would probably happen since one prefers Photography and the other Motocross.

I think complexity is what makes RPG's so hated.
They say with age you get wrinkly and weak, Chuck and Frank have now disprooved that myth.
I think that it would be the equivalent of Raptor Jesus meeting Chuck Norris...as in it would not end well, especially if you dress Chuck as Frank and vice versa for Frank .-.

Well, Kent is 24. That makes him a young adult, although he doesn't act like it.
Then again Characters in like their teen ages tend to annoy the most.
Even when a person has never played Dead Rising, they will know who Frank West is!
Most of the time, that does tend to happen. It's because they're the smaller ones.
That's why I ask others for ideas.

I think those two are exactly what a lot of yaoi fangirls like, the resilient uke; they wanna be dominant and won't just give themselves up.
Frank can be dominat if he want, he'll kill an innocent civilian without even giving a second thought.

Never thought of it like that. I guess I'm just being a pain in the neck because I'm getting tired of games with young teenage characters with large purposes that would be best handled by an adult character.

I'm not really sure. Nobody heard of him IN the game. But Frank did tell Ed that everyone was going to know his name by the time he was done getting the scoop on Willamette. I guess Kent was just assuming Frank was well-known.

This Leon Bell fellow...is he as much a foil to Chuck as Kent was to Frank? Is he in Case Zero?

Probably not as deep as Kent foiled Frank, but pretty close. Unlike Kent, I think Chuck and Leon start out as rivals and enemies from the start.
Unfortunately, Leon on appears in Dead Rising 2. Would've been nice to know these foil like character better, ya know? XD
I've been keeping a close eye on the Dead Rising 2 characters. I think Leon is as close to a Kent equivalent as we're gonna get.

I read about him on the wiki, and yeah, he's about as much a foil for Chuck as we're gonna get, but he just doesn't have that...i'm not quite sure how to put this...eccentricity to him that Kent did.
Also he seems like a complete douchebag from the synopsis, in a way that his doucheness makes up most of his "psychopahty", where as Kent was more genuinely nuts (at least by the end).

I understand how you feel. Leon isn't as good as Kent is. But then again, we don't want an exact copy of Kent...or do we? As far as foil characters go, Kent is still the best example there is. Both personality and physical wise when compared with Frank.
I still think Leon might have some potential. We'll just have to wait and see when Dead Rising 2 is released.

So in the game are kent and frank competing journalist covering the zombie apocalypse or are they partner jounralists.

They're rival photographers. Frank is there to cover the story behind the zombie apocalypse while Kent is there just to take pictures of the zombie apocalypse.
Kent thinks he's better at photography than Frank is. So he challenges Frank to a competition, but it doesn't end well on day 3.
