Well... I was pretty proud of the picture of 2008 and I still like it.
I guess it was the first one I drew with a graphic tablet.
It's always great to look back and see if you have improved. Even if that wasn't an intention... XD

Sounds strange but since I don't care about improving anymore, I get better. Because I don't stress myself so much.
Furthermore I enjoy drawing again. And that's the most important part for me. Not improving.
'What do you want to do, when you're "good"? Draw pictures? You can do that now'. That's what I thought for myself.
And if you do it right, you improve anyway.
Search for references, look at tutorials (there is one that suggests on how to work with references; doesn't seem helpful, but it really is), analyse your pictures, get to know colours and values, look what others draw and don't stress yourself.
Change doesn't come overnight. It takes a lot of practice and self criticism. And there's a lot to learn.
To me, the way is its own reward. There are many little milestones, but there will be no end.

I'll redraw this in a few years anyway.
