My hand hurts so BADLY... XDDDon't get me wrong, I love the new Pokemon games and I just can't wait for their release (days keep getting longer and longer in my opinion...).
Sure, there are many Pokemon I like in the new games. But I was a bit disappointed by Incineroar's design... I had hoped for a quadrupedal tiger and not a bipedal one.
It's not really my taste but that's just my opinion.
I know the original designs always have some kind of backstory as to why the Pokemon look the way they look and I'd be interested in it.
Just wanted to draw my own version of it.
So here it is.
Edit: Now that I look at it... its eyes are quite big... XD

It always bothered me that whenever I thought to critique Incineroar for being Bipedal, people felt the need to explain the heel/Tiger mask concept to me.

Oh yes.
Thing is, I think this concept is completely forced to make something different than people expect.
And explaining that it's based on a heel is not a real explanation to me. It still doesn't say why they decided to design it like that when there would have been different/better options.
I wouldn't even mind that it's bipedal if it looked more natural instead of that shirt-like fur. Something like a weretiger.

Of course the whole heel thing isn't an explanation. It's an excuse. Also your weretiger idea? That would have been awesome, too. God, I wish you worked at Nintendo/ GameFreak when they were designing this Pokemon. You would have saved it from sucking.

Well, depending on how you view Raikou, there would at east be a sabertoothed one.
But I do hope for an awesome tiger pokemon as well.
Though my hopes on Incineroar getting a second form in the new games is still up, I doubt they will do that... XD

The announcement of UltraSun and UltraMoon slightly raised my hope again.
But I doubt they will add a quadruped form for it, just because fans don't like the official design.

Man if only *sob* I had no idea so many people felt the way I did about Incineroars design.
After playing the game for a while I came to find it's not that bad in fact it's pretty cool. The only problem was that I felt it's first two forms were a set up for something like this in a way. I just feel like I was built up then knock off my feet.
I think if the second form gave more of a hint that Incineroar was going to be what it is (Other than the large forelegs) then I feel people wouldn't have been too shocked and dissappointed.

And I had the same feeling about Litten and its first stage.
The thing is: when it comes to other fire starters, their first evolution was already bipedal (except for Quilava; it was kinda both quadrupedal and bipedal).
In this case, Torracat isn't.
I saw the leaks beforehand, so I knew what Incineroar would look like.
Otherwise I would have been disappointed even more.
So I agree with you saying Torracat should have given a hint on Incineroar's design.

To be fair, all Fire starters end up on two legs. I kindly find its design simply badass for what it is. I believe its design just screams how Game Freak make their designs in Pokémon and that's what makes them unique in my opinion. But I do like your four legged design though. Nice job! C:

As I don't know how much info you got about the new Pokemon I won't name specific ones to prevent spoilers.
But there are some really awesome designs (especially the legendaries 
I'd like to know the explanation as to why Incineroar got his official design (if there is an official one; I guess it's not only because fire starters are always bipedal or just for fun).
But I won't search for it now to prevent spoiling myself XD
And I still haven't decided which starter to choose, so Litten is still an option to me.
Everything else would be really superficially and I'm not like that. It also seems to have some good stats.

And oh, the only thing that was spoiled for me were the list of Pokémon in the generation; including shinies. Which I don't mind really since its the story that I really don't want spoiled as far as what is being leaked. It feels like X and Y all over again when people leaked it 2 weeks before release. It's like-how? How do they do it? Did someone get their hands on a copy or..?
And as far as Incineroar's design. He's based on a wrestler, a dirty fighter which is why he got a Dark type combination and would suit more on two legs then four. And in Japan, Dark type means "Evil" Type, reasoning why most Dark types look villainous. Which people always question Dark type Pokémon's designs when they infact make sense. Proof of that is the reason why Moonlight or Moonblast are Fairy type moves and not Dark as one may have thought it would suit for Dark. You can kinda say Fighting is like the "Good" type. Which is why there are no 'Light' types. Fairy or Psychic would play a better role for being "Light" as they both beat Dark. I feel Fairy types get a bad rep as well. :'3
As for me, I stayed with Popplio from the Beginning but Litten was a close second. I really love their designs, so I'm not too disappointed!

Yeah... it's quite unfair to those who can't play it yet. You can already download the games from the eShop although you're not able to play them yet.
But it seems some people used programs to make the games playable (or something like that). I don't know whether they got a physical copy or just the one from the eShop though...
And yes, I wouldn't want to be spoiled when it comes to the story, too. Pokemon are perfectly fine.
Hm, I already knew that the dark type is actually the evil type in Japan, but the connection to a wrestler makes sense to me, now that you write it.
Didn't think of a wrestler being mean to be honest XD
But it's rather the connection of tiger and wrestler that I was wondering about, as a wrestler is not the first thing that comes to my mind when thinking about tigers.
Of course they are strong animals but also quite graceful in my opinion. That's why I think there might be more to it XD
And yeah I always saw the Psychic type as the "Light" type before Fairy was introduced. At least kind of. But it's weak against Dark or "evil" respectivley.
Fairy really grew on me, especially the move Dazzling Gleam.
Why do you think they might get a bad rep?
I couldn't decide right from the start XD Rowlet is so cute and I like owls a lot. Its evolution looks mysterious and awesome... and the typing is quite interesting.
As I love cats, Litten is an option as well. Popplio is cute, too, and I've always loved Water types XD so I guess I'm getting Popplio as well.

And yeah, evil wrestler is a stretch unless they didn't want another Fire/Fighting. But I guess he can be a big mean ol' Tiger. After all, Tigers can be quite scary to be around and are strong predators. So they are something to be feared if near one. I can see why they didn't make it graceful since Popplio pretty much got a majestic vibe already. I guess its a way to make each one different and I also noticed their appearance always suit by their stats as well. Like Incineroar might be physical so a buff shit it becomes! Plus the name fits too as its a mix of Incinerate which means "Destroy by burning". Which fits the title, and destroying suits for "Evil" types. Though sadly most people don't see Dark types as "Evil" types.
And crap I just noticed I said Psychic beats Dark, my bad I derped. Forgive me. And funny thing is, I found Rowlet's final evolution similar to Greninja in a way as they are both stealthy and both shoot projectiles! Though I might choose Popplio in the end because it's really majestic as hell. x'3

Hm, yeah that makes sense. Making Pokemon individual is a very important thing.
So this might be true. All of the starters got some personality.
I guess they don't know it's the "Evil" Type in Japan.
Though I have to say some of the Dark types don't have a pokedex entry to make them look evil.
Umbreon for example is rather mysterious and... cute... XD I like it a lot.
On the other hand there's Absol which is connected to catastrophes. But it only shows up to warn others.
And then there's Houndoom which represents the Evil type quite a lot
I think most people connect those Pokemon with shadows and night rather than evil...
