OMFG IT"S FINISHED! xDTook me FOREVER. I got lazy when I got to Ash/Satoshi and Pikachu, so the shading sucks. But it's DONE!
So happy . . . Yes, yes, it's a Pokemon Makeover in all its cel-shaded glory. Set when Ash/Satoshi is 16-20 years old, in a random Pokecenter. They haven't seen each other in a while, yet remain oblivious to each other's presence.
I'm not a rabid fan of the series due to the insane amounts of repetitive-ness and oh-so-friendly characters. (I dislike it even more after the voice-acting change. *shudder*) And their outfits are so amazingly dull. (T-shirts and jeans . . . *twitch*) And Ash never seems to age. EVER. xDDD Seriously.
Well, yeah, that's pretty much the only reason this was created. xD First I wanted to see Ash older. And then all the other stuff snuck in. > >;;

Any reboot would be good. I think the series could use a bit of a Gritty, Harder and darker touch.

It is mentioned in story that the Kanto region took around 1 year for Ash and Co to traverse. Add in what was it 2 months to prepare for the League because he was early in getting his badges. So right there Ash is 11 and some change I figured that the Orange Island arc took 6-7 months 8 tops so that puts Ash at around 11.5 to 12 ... If we then figure that each other League arc took around a year as well ... That makes him 12.5-13 after Johto, 13.5 to 14 with the end of Hoen plus say 3-6 months for the Battle frontier challenge puts him at 14-14.5. Coming Back from Sinnoh he would be 15-15.5 and After Unova he would be if we take the round of 16 for the lowest tally and at highest puts him around 17. I honestly think the reason they never aged him was originally the series was only supposed to last through the Kanto saga and it just kept going on and on likely by the time they thought about aging him and the other characters it was too late to begin the process.

but in the first episode of pokemon black and white they say that ash is a 10-year old bey from pallet xD some time is seriously messed up in pokemon.
also, if i remember correctly, the original japanese version said "a while" instead of "1 year" after ash finished kanto, sooo....

The Black and White series is almost reboot with the same character, Ash looses nearly all development and experience he had obtained in the past 5 regions and is nearly back to the point where Misty fished him from that river (As you can likely tell I'm NOT a fan). At the same time I get your point the B & W series states he is ten at the beginning. What one has to remember is that the series is designed to appeal to children, so it's less likely that all five regions total took place in less than the span of year as it is that the creators are simply ignoring the passage of time as a part of reality in terms of the characters in the show. In deference to the majority of the people who are long time fans this makes far more sense. It's less bruising on our childhood memories when we simply state that Ash is only "10" for obvious cooperate reasons, than it would be to accept it as true canon. That or Ash is in fact an immortal vampire or something crazy like that LOL. ( I have actually heard from a friend who works in the animation industry that they originally intended to age and mature the characters but it was either vetoed by cooperate HQ or they simply didn't implement it soon enough.) Again I do get your point though

I already knew pretty much everything that you just stated, and i agree with the points, and all of this still makes time in the pokemon universe very messed up. We can't simply say that time doesn't exist at all, since there are pokemon with time-based powers (here i am talking about dialka, which literally is the time pokemon and celebi, which can travel through time), so the only logical explanation is That either time is weird in pokemon, or Ash is weird xD
but the reason for the messed up time is, as you say, most likely to make sure that the franchise keeps appealing to a young audience

Good, picture and I like the original characters a LOT better than the newer ones, I still say that the creators should've kept Misty in with the Hoenn, Sinnoh, and Unova regions, I think that they should start thinking about bringing back Misty for GOOD... Sorry for ranting eheh *sweat drops and rubs back of head sheepishly* But still good drawing and it's good to see that Ash AGED!!!

I love the old Pokemon, I just searched up Retro Pokemon in google, and found this epic super fantabulastic pic. I haven't really seen the new Pokemon (sounds like Ash got a new voice actor): so I have no real say in how the new Pokemon is. The pic is amazing. I can't draw to save my life, so this is like... totally epic.
BTW my sis brought up the point that we all may have pondered on: ASH CAN' CATCHT ALL THE POKEMON BECAUSE THEY KEEP MAKING MORE.

actually, i always thought at the beginning of each region, pikachu would automatically go back to level 15.so it's kinda like rare candies, in a way,but doing the complete opposite.
