Description

Storm MacCullond comes from a “well to do” family, with his father being an automotive mechanic and his mother a financial advisor, and growing up he did not lack for much in his life, but his parents were wise enough not to give him everything he wanted.  They both had to work to get where they were in life, and wanted their son to understand that just because you have money, it does not mean you can expect to have everything given to you.  His time in the public education system helped him understand that not everyone was as fortunate as he was, and that one’s wealth did not determine a person’s worth.  Not all of his schoolmates of similar financial status saw things the way he did.

During his time at high-school, Storm made friends with some of his eventual employees; Brian McCallister (head of HR); Jennifer Watcolm (chief of security); Alisha Montero and Peter “Spyder” Mann (resident “grease monkeys”).  All of these friends would play crucial roles in more than just the future of his company, they would be important in defending the world.  During the Anomally Incident at the MacCullond Industries Northern Ontario facility, Storm was exposed to the Anomally’s energy, causing him to develop the ability to wield an extra-dimensional substance known as Darkforce.

Like many of the characters in my stories, Storm was created back in the ‘80s for a Marvel Superhero tabletop game.  Completely done by random dice roles, he ended up a genius (with talents for both business/finance and engineering) and as rich as a small country.  He was also a mutant character that had the ability to generate and control Darkforce, the same extra-dimensional energy that the Marvel character Cloak is well known for.

Disclaimer: The character Cloak and the term Darkforce are copywites of Marvel Comics Group. My mentioning them here is for fanart purposes, and I make no claim otherwise.
