I'm curious how Rarity and Keldeo speak the same language since one is a Pokemon, is it because they are both Equine-based creatures?
For your question, yes, I've seen it. At first, I find it cliche about the idea of giant robots/mecha-suits fighting giant monsters in American-made film. Overall, it's nice to see from a different perspective, such as CGI, characters, and storyline.

In the anime/movie, Keldeo has limited telepathic abilities, just like most legendaries do: it can speak to any sentient creature. The fact that they're both equine probably just makes it easier.

You'd be surprised. Yes, some Psychic-types use telepathic communication, but not very many. And some Pokemon with telepathy aren't Psychic-type at all: just look at Lugia and Lucario for instance.
