so yes, I've been away for a while because technical problems and stuff but now I'm back.now inΒ a semi-related note, let's say, if your hard disk start clicking and making sounds like crazy, does that mean I should be looking for a new one? my HD is like 7 years old btw.

I can afford a Black it's because of the warranty when the cost is higher due to it. Green & Blue are both 3 years while the cost is cheap, but if Black have been 3 years while more expensive, then I would have stick to Blue.
Sandisk has their own HDD too? I only remember that brand being more on CDRs and SD cards, but HDDs?

Euh, no Sandisk, does not make HDDs. I was talking about their past reputation. Back in 2000, Sandisk was at the top of the chain. But then around 2004, they had a streak of really terrible products that would fail, which allowed the rise of Kingston and Patriot. And Sandisk still hasn't recovered from that.

Ahh, noted. Well, I'm more towards Kingston, they're best at SD cards, for some reason Kingston also made RAM cards too. 
Kingston also rise with spin-off brands like Kingsmax, I hate it when it's not only a copy, but it's also something I doubt more than Sandisk's bad reputation today. After all, spin-off or parody brands usually fail in qualities compare to the original brand. In my country, I got Adidas shoes but also a ripoff also known as Asadi.

Kingston's RAM is a little cheap but it's ok. If you're making a budget pc, them and G.Skill are alright.
For Patriot, they're pretty much one of the best when it comes to USB drives, and they also make RAM that I'd consider to be almost on par with Corsair's, while also being slightly cheaper. They also have some of the few USB 3 drives that are worth it, next to Corsair again (Corsair makes everything so it's hard to beat them). I have a Patriot Pulse, and it's really good.

Your hard drive is about to die. Save everything you can from it and get a new one immediately. I'd expect a drive to last about 5 years, maximum.

What it means is that you should, at a minimum:
1) STOP USING THAT DRIVE!!!Β That means pulling the cables, (or not using the computer), not just avoiding reading from and writing to it
2) Get replacement storage for the contents you want to save.
3) Reactivate the drive and copy everything off.
4) Remove and replace drive.
Better is to have something big enough to take the entire drive plus space for what you want to save and making a rescue copy with disk recovery software, (such as ddrescue).Β If you're just getting early warning signs of a failing drive you might not need to go that far, but be ready in case things do fail on you.

If it's a mechanical HDD, then clicking often means it is time to back up everything and look for a new one. Β If it's a solid-state HDD and it starts ticking, then you should probably run.
