Or, "How the PokeWalk works for trainers in wheelchairs".Does the PokeWalker show, or is it just a black circle? I was having this problem with ImageReady when I first uploaded it.

Dude, I hope people in wheelchairs conquer that little bastard.
I'm disabled, but I can still walk short distances.....but I usually just clip mine to my sock so that when my RLS kicks in, it gets steps that way XD
It just occurred to me that the PokeWalker is sort of discriminatory O_O
Though I think they had the best of intentions, trying to get people to move their asses.

I don't believe it's discriminatory. Pedometers aren't anything new. It's kind of like saying books in ink are discriminatory to the blind. If you can't use it's sad, but it's par for the course.
I can walk too if I hold on to something, in fact I'm supposed to practice that. That would be my most honest way of using the PokeWalker, using it while trying to walk.

I didn't mean it was intentionally discriminatory or anything like that. I meant....hrmm, how to explain. Basically, it just occurred to me that it could be seen as more of a pain in the arse than something fun to some people. Like I said, I just clip it to my sock and bounce my leg/tap my foot XD I, personally, figure that if I can find ways to work around my disabilities in every other area of my life, I'm certainly not going to let my stupid body get in the way of my Pokemons!!!
But it just seems kind of unfair to trainers like yourself. I don't think Nintendo meant for it to be that way, of course. I honestly feel they had the best of intentions and were trying to create a cool peripheral that would also encourage folks to exercise.
(Side Note: Also, for the younger crowd, it's a great way for kids to be able to take their Pokemon to school. Since the dawn of the Game Boy & Pokemon Red & Blue, kids have been having their Pokemons ninja'd by Team Rocket wannabe's on the playground. This way, the kid can keep it in their pocket and still be benefiting from it. And hopefully Nintendo/GameFreak will make PokeWalkers sold separately soon. )
I think, for you, any way you can use the Pokewalker is honest, as you're putting in real effort.
I was hanging out at the GTS+ forums one day, and saw a thread where someone (who was perfectly able to walk, mind you) talked about how they took the grill off a box fan, taped their Pokewalker to the center part of the fan and turned it on, and got steps that way. I was totally disgusted. I mean seriously....at least shake it!!
*cough* I apologize. I enjoy talking about Pokemon far too much.

That's good, falling over is never funny. Unless it gets you watts on the Pokewalker.
I just keep it in my pocket, even though I'm in a wheelchair it acts like I'm walking anyway.

Oh my... That's too great!
Now if only there was a solution for the cronically keyboard-bound other than jigglin a leg! ^^

Err, I took it as them popping wheelies (which I have done when I was stuck in a chair, and it CAN be fun if you're careful!).

Dude, I love popping wheelies, but I've hit my head QUITE a few times. I also like leaning up against a wall and doing "side-wheelies".

Side wheelies? I must learn about these "side-wheelies". It's pretty rare that I'm chair-bound (as long as I don't have to walk too-too far, I'm fine. Major events that require a lot of walking or standing, such as conventions, festivals, etc. put me in the chair), but the doctor's have said that it's going to become more and more necessary over time , so I figure I might as well make the best of it.

Oh Haha Nice. x3;
I guess shaking it would be a good option, but that would defeat the purpose of it being a PokeWalker. x3;
I can see it and it looks good. :3
