October 9th, 1034 PI; Outside Pansk, Robania:

With Union and Alliance forces locked in stalemate further south in Regalla, the Lusivakian 23rd infantry division- along with elements of the Tovelan 8th armored cavalry- launched a sudden assault on the volatile Central Line, in eastern Robania, hoping to draw the Union's attention to threats potentially aimed at Chergaria.

The Alliance's harsh, sudden move was met with equally sudden and harsh resistance from the defending Chergarian 201st infantry division. Before the Alliance had reached Pansk, the 8th armored had been decimated, putting both sides into yet another stalemate. Weeks of tense, entrenched warfare were finally broken after the 23rd, their supplies running ever low under the pressure of Union aerial attacks, made a fierce push on the Chergarians' line of defense.

Though they eventually managed to break through, the weeks that followed were a veritable hell, as the Chergarian 1st air corps turned its attention to their newly established line of defense. Cold, starved, under-supplied and besieged, the Lusivakians nonetheless endured through the so-called "Black Week", until finally being joined by reinforcements to retake Pansk.

I've been trying to get back into drawing scenes. In addition, I've been trying to get rid of my dependency on lines. No luck so far, but I tried something different with them (which, upon retrospect, didn't quite work). Ah well.
