Description
EasyThis is my very first photomanipulation, which I created in November 2008. Since that day I am really addicted to photomanipulating.
There isn´t that much manipulated, the background is a shot that I took one morning on my way to work.
Only to add the water ripples turned out to be quiet difficult, at first I used a Photoshop-addon, but with the result I wasnt really satisfied, so later I painted some ripples in greyscale and added them to the background with the "add structure" - filter (dont know it in english), then added some glance and there it is

The fact that you can paint and that you take good photos is indeed an asset to your art (I can't paint myself, I am so bad at it !! Only circles and sticks ).
I am currently working on a piece that needed "Wasser Bewegung" and I managed to use the waves left by a swimming duck (improved with the clone tool) to add them as a layer. I wish I knew how to paint... even shadow creating is a nightmare to me.
This one is great, too.

Thank you, hon, I cannot really paint and those damned water ripples really took me days of struggeling.
Today this would take me not an hour. But since this one was my first real manip, I didn´t know many of the great possibilities that photoshop offers. I can promise, that comes with studying other peoples work and simply practicing. I have tons of work, I cannot even show because I´m not satisfied.
Sometimes I work for two weeks on a contest entry and never submit it.
And I already became last in a contest too.

You can´t paint ???
I thought these ripples were done with a hand held brush !
Belive me, I know what you mean by struggles...
And it´s encouraging to know that practicing is what helps.
I really look forward to your future uploads...

When I find the time, I´ll show you, how I finally did it, maybe it works for your ducks too

I´d love to know! That part of my work is finished, so I
don´t need it asap (not for this work). But it would be
great to know how to do it easier, that´s a fact !

I think the structure filter you speak of maybe called displacement in English.
I am in love with your work.

Ah, yes, maybe this is the right term.
And thank you very much for your compliment , since I am still a beginner in Digital Art, it really means something to me.
