i don't just remember i've had that issue for most of my life. it's one of the most valuable back issues of the series because aside from NOVA's appearance he gives up his powers at the end of the issue. it's also the issue that inspired this envelope fan art i did years ago . . .

Correct sir, and we also learned in issue 50 of ROM that the dire wraiths were a genetic off shoot of the Skrulls.

Hey amigo, I was wondering when I’d hear from you. After I finished this I realized I made some what of a historical mistake. At the time when Rom would have encountered the skulls before he ever came to Earth they would have been featured in the all purple uniforms as opposed in the black and purple pattern. But I suppose there’s plausible reasons why those uniforms might have already been worn in some parts of the skrull empire back then.
