Description
In the original Max Headroom TV movie,there's a brief image of a pile of discarded,but still working...and turned on...television sets,left in an empty lot in a bleak-looking city (which fits in with the plot,as this is a future where television is the only growth industry) and these sets provide free entertainment for the derelicts. Piles of discarded TVs was an image I started to see a lot of at garbage collection centers when plasma-screen TVs started appearing (the TVs weren't turned on,but still.....!). In fact,I'm still seeing this at our local dump...anyway,long story short,it inspired this.
