Description
Yes,now A.D. 37-A.D. 41's most notorious despot now has his own cereal!Rather than drive you crazy with my amateur Latin, the caption on the bust reads "He who rules in blood",and the box in the lower right-hand corner translates roughly as "Inside---Small images of famous people".
However,if you're wondering just who those three are,or what connection they have to our title dictator---sorry,but that's what they founded libraries for!

xomg I died when I saw this!
I am just re-reading I, Claudius for the billionth time. USUALLY OVER BREAKFAST WHEN I AM EATING CHEERIOS.
This morning's pages included Cassius Chaerea's activities in holding off the Germans until Tiberius could bring in reinforcements.
I've always had a mad crush on Cassius, though I picture him more as played by James Morrison (Tyrus Cassius McQueen on Space Above and Beyond) then Sam Dastor.
Am I geeking out?
I'm geeking out.
I blame YOU. And this highly memorable piece of art. From now on, no one in my house will call them anything but "Caligul-O's" again. ("Breakfast time is about to get a lot more exciting...!")
Part of your imbalanced meal!
You're freaking awesome.

The horse... wasn't he appointed to a high up position by one of Cesaer's heirs?

You're not that far off,actually---although many reputable historians say this is nothing more than legend,Caligula supposedly set up his horse as a member of the Roman senate.
