I am sorry, but I meant that when Groucho sings the song in "At the Circus" he mentions Captain Spaulding being among Lydia's Tatoos.  I did see the curtain in back of Lydia in your picture mentions Captain Spaulding (as well as Kaufman's Witticisms - George S. Kaufman's I suspect).  By the way, if you ever see the film, "The Philadelphia Story", the young actress playing Katherine Hepburn's young sister (Virginia Weidler I believe is her name) starts playing the piano for James Stewart and starts singing "Lydia".  But "The Philadelphia Story" was an MGM film, and so was "At the Circus", so they owned the copywrite.

I gotcha...in fact, all the names on the curtain are,in some way or another, connected to Groucho Marx.

(looked up "groucho" among the emoticons, and that's all they had)

Interestingly one of the tatoos shows "Captain Spaulding" in the Amazon.  "You can learn a lot from Lydia!!"

Can you actually see that?

Because if you can, except for a few select images, like the faces of Lincoln and Washington, most of what I put on Lydia are just abstract imagry, open to individual interpretation, like an ink blot test.

Largely, this was because of the difficulty in creating images that tiny...still,that's pretty amazing!

Oh,yeah...
