Once again,I draw inspiration from the iconic cover to Green Lantern #85 (Aug./Sept. '71)...the heroes depicted are Crackerjack and Quarrel from the Astro City books...the "sidekick" is my own creation.Related content

I'm assuming you're referring to Green Lantern #85....actually,it wasn't the first superhero story to deal with drugs...before that,there was a Spiderman story,a sub-plot of which revealed that Harry Osborn (son of Norman Osborn AKA The Green Goblin and Peter Parker's roommate at the time) had developed an addiction to (unspecified) pills. The Comics Code people informed Stan Lee that they couldn't put their stamp of approval on such a story,so it was published without it.
