Description
While doing my previous submission,which borrowed from the classic EC horror comics of the 1950s,I was inspired to finally do a piece I'd had in the back of my mind for years.I absolutely love this movie...at a time when Hollywood was force-feeding audiences a seemingly unending glut of slasher flicks,it took the combined efforts of George Romero and Stephen King...and let's not forget Tom Savini!...to give us something which was,for the time,an original.
Horror anthologies had been done before,of course...but no one ever did one like this.

No problem, like William Gaines was probably the most libertarian of comic book publishers of the 20th century with his remodeled pre comic code EC comics line and the notorious MAD magazine which made fun of the shallowness, mediocrity, and fear based politics of America's overly commercialized cultural landscape.
