Well, Ben's profile makes him sound like he could be quite an interesting charachter... Ican't wait to see how he and Steffi interact....
Ok, so the poisoning making Steffi blind was a bit of a surprise, the gun sort of a shocker (but, I STILL felt like I was watching my favorite kid''s cartoon and a charachter pulled a gun... Can youu see someone pulling apistol in in Super Mario..... wait... never mind... I bet Koopa would have loved to do that...
Anyway, I was worried about Steffi! I was pretty sure you wouldn't just kill her off, but I was curious to see how she would get out of this....

Hate to be the sour puss in all this comments though, but this picture suffers from quite a few problems IMO...
a) Ben doesn't look like he's dropping ONTO her head, he just looks like he was long already stepping on it, and she's just really shocked at realising he was already there from the start... Try adding action lines for Ben as he falls downwards, and her head should be knocked forward, eyes closed (she just got stomped on the head, i doubt she can actually lift her head and stare in shock during the impact...)
b) The bullet shot... It looks like the gun just pushed out a yellow cylinder with a curved end, and a bullet is mysteriously hanging above it. Action LINES for the bullets would be nice, along with a bit of blur if possible. To show the "flash" that follows the bullet, you should have the bullet be connected to the cylinder thingy (imo) because at the moment, if you look carefully, the direction in which the bullet appears to have travelled from and the yellow cylinder which shows the direction are not the same...
I admit that i'm no master artist or so, so i can't give you anymore advice, but i kinda learnt about these sort of stuff (showing action) from a website a while back.

Quite good actually, i recommend a read at least, because i noticed most of your works are a bit stiff in battles.
Keep up the good work though! I really like your characters and colouring technique

hrrrmmm, I see where you're coming from on some parts, but you're gonna have to explain this further. Here's a version of the pic without the sound effects and with some added black lines around the action gradients (I also had to re-CG some parts I didn't save, oorgh):

Now, I can't see Ben NOT looking like he's coming down. His shoelaces and shirt are flying up and there's the whatever-effect-thingies where he's landing on her head. Does he really look like he's just standing there? x_X
Also does the yellow still look like a solid object of its own without the sound effects over it? I did connect the end of the yellow all the way to the bullet now, though I guess it's hard to tell at that size.
The idea with her looking up was that she had glanced up, perhaps upon seeing a shadow. I guess I coulda made a separate panel for this, but it was supposed to be a shocker or whatnot ._.
But I guess the main question is, is it easier for you to follow what I was tryin to do in this redone picture? Should I leave out the sound effects and go with this one?

Actually, i would say the sound effects work out quite well, cute and effective 
Well... as for Ben... Even though I can see the "anti-gravity" taking effect (the air resistance pushing everything upwards), I kinda find it hard to see that he fell from above... In my opinion, i would say action lines would really help, for Ben falling down, following from where he fell. The tutorial i gave you has a part on that I think... (Sorry, different com currently, don't have the link 
For the bullet, the one you showed me looked way better for some reason, I think its because i can't see the curved end... Try taking out the outline and maybe make the end less curved. When you connected it, it looked quite some better
Making it three panels (Her looking up, shocked face, head stomped by Ben) might help out in the comic, in my opinion.
Well... to answer the main question, I say keep the sound effects. It fits your style quite well, and gives more of a comedic HEADSTOMPZ than without the sound effects
Although, i would say that this is all mostly my opinion, I believe there are people out there who can give way better opinions
