Description
I'm having some major trouble drawing realistic people for my portfolio T_TSo I thought "hey I'll use a picture of me as a base and draw something both realistic and fun!"
I'm not sure it's either now... Think I should still include it?
USC is extremely vague on what they want. Namely, they don't tell you anything about what they want. @_@
I just can't seem to stop drawing Merry XD she's such a fun alter-ego 'A'

Hey, it looks semi-realistic, just include it in your portfolio. And is there a maximum number of pieces to include in it?

Realistic? Uuuuh...
Maybe some more shading (the nose...) would help here.
But it is a very good drawing anyway.

I've never really liked realistic style much. I mean, you get it during the day in the real world, why do you want it in your drawings too? XD that's just my twisted mind's opinion anyways.

shading around the eye looks kind of weird... just a thought though

It might be seen as too 'cartoony'...but then, it might not...
It's hard to say...
either way, it's a decent piece at least.

I think most art schools are evil like that when it comes to portfolios. -_-;

heh actually most of the art-art schools asked specifically for 90% drawings from life. They say they can teach you to imagine, but they can't teach you to draw. XP
Art schools within actual universities seem to work differently though.
